It ain't a great pic but that looks like a venomous snake to me. Poster above is correct about the Copperhead I think.

Can't rule out copperhead b/c of picture quality. But those bands look like a cottonmouth to me. More jagged and irregular that a copperhead's, which are usually smoother.

I'm about a 5/10 in snake identification. I can identify most species we have around here but I'm definitely no expert
I know that one would get the garden hoe in my yard.
