Also, I have lied to parents, grandparents, and hosts that have taken me hunting that I didnt see deer when in fact I did and just didnt want to clean them.

Never legally duck hunted
Got wasted in a deer stand / shown up wasted for morning hunts
Forgot to put plug in boat
Multiple mishaps with guns
Most embarrassing... Drove to a lake and tried to launch boat. Couldnt get it to turn over at all. Drove all the way home and tried to fix it and realized the kill switch was pulled

I go out and intentionally hunt Pouldeau
I have killed killed spikes, on purpose
I do not grab catfish, use pliers to unhook them
I've never killed a hog, coyote, or bobcat (although I really want to)
I have never fired an AR-15

My farming practices regarding dove hunting can be somewhat "suspect"

70% or more of the deer we shoot every year gets turned into dog food for my parent's yorkiepoos.

When I was an early 20-something I got a bonus check and decided to buy a Model 1895 Marlin Lever 45-70 at my local BPS. I picked it up on the way to the deer camp and decided to take it out the following morning. I had never once shot the gun but assumed the iron sights should be on from the factory, right?
I was slowly walking a creek bed in the early morning light and spotted some hogs. I froze and upon further investigation realized I was in the middle of a heap of them. Perhaps two dozen or so.
So I figure we're going to unload here and pile up some pork. I flung five rounds and was able to reload and fire two more before the hogs had hauled arse.
The problem was, I didnt hit a single one of them.
The ridicule at the camp was incessant..

At this point in my life I would rather watch my daughter play softball more than I would like to sit in a deer stand or be out on the water.
Not that I don't love hunting and fishing I just feel like my time is growing shorter and shorter to spend with my daughter. She will be 15 soon.

I've used a spotlight for things other than frogs and navigation. I've used the full moon to my advantage on a roost once or twice when I was younger.
