I mishandled my XDs a couple weekends a go.
Accidentally fired a round up in the air. Could've killed me or someone else there.
Scared the shite out of me. What can I say? we learn from our mistakes and move on.

i spent the day before opening duck season scouting in biloxi WMA. didn't even fish because i couldn't find a good enough spot to hunt. camped out that night by myself, set out all my decoys in advance, slept on my 14' alum boat with only a tarp pulled over the top & only went home with 2 grays for all the effort.
i was walking a WMA edge and saw a pair of mallards in a water hole on the adjacent field. i crawled 100 yds in the mud on someone elses property to shoot one of them. i didn't even tell anyone about it because i was so ashamed of myself afterward. never again.

The only deer hunt I made this year, I climbed down as the sun rose because I was too cold.

I had a friend in highschool that wanted to crawl some specks on someone elses lease. i told him it was not my lease but he said he didnt care. he was new to hunting and really was a jackass. i said fine and let him do it. they were specks but they were also decoys. took him about an hour in the mud before he realized. i drove off and left him and came back an hour later and he was sitting by the road all pissed off. last time we went hunting together.

lol I dont give a shite.... lived in KY and was poor as hell... now i drive the shite out of it. Only way to know is to learn!!!
