That's what I got.
Bought Friday. MSRP was 45,670. Internet advertised price was 39,670. I paid 32,545.20.

Sounds like he got a good deal.

I mentioned earlier in this thread about truck pricing. Some fuzzy math for sure on the sticker. There is more markup than people realize, as in several thousand. It makes the discount look bigger when really it isn't.

It doesn't even make sense anymore. Oh, and Houston is the magic word. I bought in Shreveport, but the more you say the word: Houston, the more the price falls.

Yea I was pricing ford trucks and with the X plan pricing out of a Houston dealership and some models were over $10k off sticker. Vehicle pricing is stupid.

I had found the identical truck in Houston with 3K miles. Must have been a demo or something, as it was being sold new. $29,500. The recall on the seat belts had not been done so they could not sell it.

My dad's looking to buy a new Chevy or Gmc 1500 like that one. I advised him to get a Ford. My 09 silverado Ltz with 120k miles is falling apart. Interior door handles are chipping, ac controls peeling, power seat won't go up or down, pockets on the back of front seats are coming off, transmission is going out, and it's under powered. I've always been a GM guy, but I'm done with them after this truck.

This is my problem with GM vehicles!

I owned a car lot for 5 years and sold mostly trucks and SUV's. I had to fix and replace more shite on GM vehicles than anything else. Tailgate handles, door handles, window motors, A/C compressors, fuel pumps, transmissions.

The damn power mirrors rarely work for more than a few years. We can send a rover to Mars, but GM can't make a fricking power mirror that lasts more than a couple years?

frick GM, I'll never buy another one.

I had a 2013 FX4 ecoboost up until about a week and a half ago. I kept having issues with it bucking after I drove it about 50 ft. It would happen about 2-3 times a month. Two trips to the dealership and both times they told me nothing was wrong. Well about 2 weeks ago it did it so bad I thought some one rear ended me. I took that fricker and traded it on a 2016 Tundra and couldn't be happier.

My 07 had none of these issues. Sounds like some people can buff, but not take care of things.

bullshite.

I was at a friends business 2 years ago. As I was leaving, another friend pulled up in his 6 month old Chevy truck. He was grabbing some stuff on the passenger seat so I grabbed his door handle to open the door for him. Nothing. It just freely pulled out like nothing was attached. He gave me this WTF look through the window. He was able to open it with the inside handle. He said as he was driving there, he heard something fall inside his door.

6 month old truck, broken door handle.

He now drives an F-150.

Unless you're a mechanic (I can't remember) I promise you I've got more experience dealing with fixing Chevys than you do.

My Chevy is 14 years old with 250k farm miles and has never had those problems. The Chevy hate/ Ford love on this board is hillarious and childish. They are all a necessary evil and the vast majority of owners of all brands of vehicles never have any quality or capability issues. It's the people who care too much about stuff like rims and leveling kits and touch screen monitors who have problems. Mysteriously, people who don't worry about that kind of dumb shite don't have problems.

So you've got an '02 Chevy with 250k miles and everything on it works? Have you replaced the door handles or tailgate handle? Do your power mirrors work?

If none of the previous things I mentioned in my earlier post have broken, you truly have a special truck.

I have good reason to hate on GM's after the shite I went through with them. 5 years of spending time and money fixing the same crappy fricking parts over and over again.

Like a guy told me who was a Chevy man said. "I had an older Chevy Tahoe that I drove for years. Interior parts broke all over, door handles broke, power mirrors out, replaced the fuel pump twice, A/C compressor also. I bought a newer one, and I'll be damned if I didn't have the same fricking problems on the newer body style. They know these parts are shite, but they won't improve them. That's why I bought an Expedition."

The passenger side window motor is getting slow, and I had to change out the little motor that operates the damper under the dash. For a 12 year old truck that's been beat to death I'd say that's pretty fantastic. Pops had an 02 that shite the AC compressor at 185k miles and a brake caliper somewhere around the same time. His had no interior issues at all though.

I know plenty of people who drive trucks and they all have different kinds. The only ones I know of who had consistent problems were 6.0 fords and 6.4 fords. I can't recal ever hearing two people complain about the same issue other than that. People who are nazi about vehicles just need some more important shite to worry about.

"Give me a price that makes me not drive to Houston tomorrow". It being a 15 and not 16 may have had something to do with it.

bullshite what? My truck had none of those issues. The only thing I ever replaced were the front axle thingies because I don't take care of shite.
