I dont fail to view it in a state of reality, but reality is they cant legislate us to safety. They have already passed laws that made the school a gun free zone... hows that working. Only thing it does is deny the teachers their right to protect themselves and the children.

The only gun law Im okay with is starting background checks for sale of used firearms. They would have to go through a licensed dealer, but would help some with them getting in the hands of felons or other criminals that shouldnt have them. That or hold the person liable that sold it illegally. Any other restrictions is taking away our rights if your okay with that you should have been called

I can't take you seriously when you use the wrong terminology. It demonstrates to me that you have minimal exposure to guns and not enough information on the topic.

The situation needs to be managed and limited to military hardware and we will be ok

What do you mean by "military hardware"? Do you mean fully automatic M4s an M16s? Civilians are only able to buy class 3 weapons made before 1986 and have to give up a lot of their rights in the process. The government basically gets to poke its head in your arse and have a look. Besides just that, they are extremely expensive. A fully automatic WW2 era Thompson is about the price of a new car. You think a thug will purchase one legally AND will have the money to do so?

Please, keep your guns locked up properly.

If your child cannot be trusted with a firearm, I agree. But once I have children and they get to a trustworthy age, I feel it is very important to teach them proper firearms safety. Same thing goes for my future wife.

kindergarten teachers should have loaded guns around kids? Dude, you are on the other side of Mars. I have young kids and my guns are securely locked up. No way teachers should have a gun storage in a classroom.

Maybe not in the classroom, but in the principals office under lock and key. Or relax gun restrictions to allow them to be kept in a vehicle. The shooting in Mississippi where the principal stopped the kid with a gun from his car is a good example.

I had a pistol in my truck all summer working at an elementary school. About halfway through the summer I realized "aw shite, this is illegal"
Never got caught.

I had my gun in my truck a couple times at the hospital I work at forgetting to take it out but I just don't put it in there anymore. Figure it's not worth losing my job over. But sometimes I'll go somewhere after work and think "damn I'd feel better if i had my gun right now"

Who's really going to go search your truck? Its not like we're kids in school. You're a grown up now. Searching without a warrant is illegal.

The place I used to work at in Waco, TX had you sign a statement when you hired on that once you entered the property you gave them your permission to search your vehicle if they had cause with out a warrant. No firearms or alcohol allowed to be kept in vehicle. So since I got off at 2 am, I couldn't stop by the store on my way to work to pick up whiskey for after work.

She also told a babysitter to never turn his back on the kid and some other scary warnings. No way I teach a kid like that to use guns.

When he was like 8 or 10 years old. I'm not saying it was the right choice by any means.

Apparently Utah allows public school teachers to carry in school if they have their CCW

Cant be, Utah must be on the other side of Mars... oh wait

I would love to see their death numbers from these evil guns the teachers have around the kids and the numbers of school shootings since they are quite the sitting ducks other schools are.

We had a teacher that would throw staplers at you if you were acting up in class. I'd rather that than a 9mm, just sayin

I could be wrong and if I am someone will correct me, but my understanding is that teachers in Israel all carry weapons at their schools? Yes, they live with the constant threat of a terrorist attack and can't wait on police to get there if a terrorist breaks into the school and starts shooting and killing kids and teachers. Wait...didn't that same thing just happen here?

Good point, but I think the comparison is a bit of a stretch. Hamas=/=retard with a gun.
