Looking for reviews on a oil less turkey fryer. How do they compare to regular turkey fryers? Thanks

They work great and dont have the cleanup. You still need some oil, but its basically nothing.

Works great, faster than oven and comes out excellent. I use the Alton brown method for brining then into oilless cooker

They're not even remotely the same. Anyone telling you that cooking a bird in an oil less fryer tastes the same as fried is lying.

If you like rotisserie chicken you'll love it.....

I've done both on same day...deep fried and oil-less. No comparison, fried is way better. Got rid of the oil-less contraption.

Deep fried is better, but the oil-less isn't going to burn your house down. I'm doing a turducken in mine this year.

This is what I have. It’s not quite as good as deep fried, but if seasoned well and even brined, it’s close. I usually inject mine the night before to let it kind of set and then cook the following day.

For the decrease in the pain in the arse of oil, etc, i would say the oil-less fryer is great. It’s way way better than the oven or smoker for sure. And let’s be honest, isn’t avoiding something deep fried probably better anyway (downvote away)

It’s not quite as good, but it’s still very good. And it’s way easier and less clean up.

I?t takes a little bit longer to cook, but the clean up and heat up time is way quicker.

I have a big easy oil less fryer. Fried a turkey in it once then went right back to the normal oil fryer. Oil just tastes better and I don't fry them often enough to really let the clean up bother me

Oiless gets the texture and moisture right. Tastes great but taste is not the same as an oiled fried. You don't have get some of that peanut oil taste. It is a really good alternative though. We have both. I prefer oiless for the lack of having to buy oil I use once then gets thrown away.

I've been using my "Big Easy" for 10 years plus.... never used one drop of oil.
To the OP's question... the Big Easy (Char Broil) works great can't don't know about the electric one's.

That’s the one i have. It works great. I’ve done turkey and chicken in it. Always comes out tender and moist. Coat your turkey in olive oil and herbs (there’s plenty of recipes online).

Yep, it’s nothing like frying. Shouldn’t be called oil less frying because It’s not the same. If you want a fried bird, fry it. Otherwise you get some quasi grilled bird with these things. It’s still good though, just a lot different than fried.

I have one and agree 100%.

That being said, it makes a damn fine turkey. It's a roasted bird and comes out great if you like a more herby bird with a cleaner flavor. I inject with straight butter, salt the skin the night before, and use an EVOO and herb rub underneath the skin. Cook it hot (275 plus) and use a meat thermometer. Cook the breast to 160, pull and let rest. It'll come out great. It's super easy and you don't have to baby sit it.
