The full rifle is $3k+.
That being said Botach is not a place to buy from.

Botach? I put nothing past them. They make Cheaper Than Dirt look like Amazon.

do you guys still have the first rifle you ever built?
Yes sir, wouldn't think of selling it. Gunsmith charged me $20 to put in the front pivot pin. Pissed me off.

So, in continuing my "budget" theme;
I ordered some blemished Grey Ghost lowers, and will put the Sabre Defence/Red X upper on one.
Not sure how "blemished" they are, the reviews have been 5/5 on them. And I couldn't beat the price

Became a hypocrite today. Traded in some junk and recent impulse buys on a DDM4v7.
Sorry, not sorry.
It was like a bug implanted into my brain. I couldn’t shake it. Had to have it for some reason.

Did you get the one with the Geiselle trigger and Magpul Pro sights?
Posted on 3/21/23 at 3:21 pm to MetroAtlantaGatorFan
nah, it was sold out when i went to check on it. that can't be a standard model that's available regularly. can't be. that's too good of a deal to be available all the time. that website is the only one that offers it. especially at that price.
i brought it up to the gun store owner i bought mine from and he mentioned that he pays around $1500 each for a DDM4v7 without those items so they found it odd that that website offered it. of course, he could've been bullshitting me, but i had to take his word for it.

Owner was lying. Tons of people have been buying them on r/GunDeals.
LINK
Apparently DD runs a special for dealers who buy at least 50 at a time. Andro Corp out of northeast FL does that, they have a rifle that sells for $700 and every quarter or so Primary Arms will buy a shitload of them and sell it for $399.

this guy had 5 on the wall over the weekend. i can't imagine he had 45 more in the back.
never heard of "Tombstone Tactical" either.

bookmarked

depending on how well i like this one, i might go through the process to get a MK18. that seems to be everyone's favorite.

I haven't bought a gun at a physical store in over a decade probably. Sure was nice years ago before most sites started charging sales tax.

You mean getting a MK18 or chopping the barrel down to 10.3" on the one you just bought?

Almost every one I've ever known lies their arse off to customers (who are mostly unwitting and don't know that much about the product) and are mostly half crooks.
Every once in a while you run into a really nice, pretty honest guy, but he probably is a serious enthusiast, under 45 yrs old and probably served in GWOT era.
Anybody older than that is going to be a lying bastard, especially if he stocks his store with overpriced Anderson rifles and tries to sell them off to customers as "high quality."

I miss the old fudds who still swear by their M14s and 1911s. "Them darn Glocks are plastic toys!"

Had a gun store owner tell me once that he would never buy a gun from (insert box store) because "they don't know what they're talking about."
I then asked him if he had any stripped lowers for sale and he proceeded to show me an Anderson lower he was selling for $95 and a polymer lower, which he was was selling for about the samw price.
I them asked him, 'Is that a polymer lower?"
He had to look at the package that had dust all over it and and said" oh, yeah I guess it is."
Thats 85% of gunstore owners in a nutshell

Getting a new one all together. They offer it in a pistol so I could go that route. I guess we’ll see how the pistol brace issue plays out first.

In an attempt to thank those in this thread who helped lead me down the winding dark trail of selecting an AR, I’ll attempt to post a couple pics of my new acquisition. Gf and I fired a mag through it yesterday and it fired a bullet with every trigger pull.

Congrats on introducing another incredibly expensive hobby to your life (I see you already have watercrafts covered)
At least firearms hold their value fairly well...not that you should ever sell them. What did you end up getting? Can't really see the rolls

I have one of those that I got on a Labor Day sale last year and it's pretty good. I got it for my wife who wanted an AR of her own. I used a $20 off coupon and the rifle was $360. With the FFL fee, I was out right at around $400. I was amazed to find out that it was a really nice rifle.
