Where is the best outdoor range to shoot an AR-15 in Southern Louisiana/Mississippi.
I don't know about down there but if you are ever near North Mississippi, you should check out the McIvor Shooting Facility that Winchester built near Sardis. The video shows what all is included at this place.

Available Ranges:
300-yard rifle range
100-yard rifle range (2)
50-yard pistol range

I have a few raw 80%ers i am about to drill. How should i coat them? Is home anodizing worth it? is there a place in BR that does anodizing? brownells epoxy paint system? Any other ideas?

No where in LA that has an FFL and does hardcoat anodizing and it's not a one/couple at a time process so you'd probably have to pay the tank min price anyway. Your best bet is one of the spray on coatings diy or professionally applied.

I'll bet you can get as good results DYI with some of the ceramic coatings available. Some of the products are top notch as long as you have the space to bake them

Get a cheap toaster oven and cerakote them yourself.
Amazingly easy.
Biggest thing to know is to use a very light coat.

The one I bought is not compatible with a gen 1 jig. Of course you can't buy the gen3 jig anymore so I'm stuck with this un machined lower

Has anyone gotten their NFA stamp after using an E-Form 4? I submitted mine early April and haven't heard back. So much for the 90 day estimate from the ATF

I bought one of those to keep put it my truck. Have you shot it yet? Mine shoots well I hate the hand guard tho.
Edit - I didn’t get that one. I like that hand guard. The one I have is a 14.7 chf barreled upper with a different hand guard. I wish I would’ve seen that one instead.

quote:Should arrive tomorrow so I'll let you know. It's actually not the one they've been email blasting, which has the full pic rail on top. I found this one for the same price on their website (I think the handguard is their newer version with the partial pic rail on top and anti-rotation tabs). Same barrel, just different guard.
