That's all I use.

Closing in on finishing my current build. Was looking to put together a general purpose rifle using quality parts, but on a budget (under $1k).
- PSA 14.7” FN barreled upper with 13.5” handguard (partial pic rail version): $350
- Aero Gen II lower: $100
- PSA Magpul LPK (MOE stock and grip, polished trigger): $100
- Sprinco white spring: $20 (PSA standard carbine buffer is spitting brass between 3:00-4:00)
- PSA premium BCG: $70
- Radian Raptor LT handle (not yet installed): $75
- Primary Arms 3x Gen III prism: $250
- Total rifle and optic: $965

Sighted it in today with cheap PMC Bronze 223. This is three separate three-shot groups at 50 yards off a Caldwell bag rest. Extremely happy with the end result.

Got a 450 Bushmaster upper this past week. So much power in that shot.
I got a cheap BCA one to see if I like it. I will eventually buy a nicer upper now that I do.
My question is about the magazine. It says you can use 5.56 mags and put less in, but they weren’t loading for shite. Sometimes the nose would be pointed down too much. I see they make 450 Bushmaster mags but is it worth the price or do others work? I have some 7.62x39 ones that I haven’t tried yet.

Great shooting

ETA: Where you using the tip of the chevron as an aiming point? Have you had a chance to take it out further?

Yes, using the tip for a 50/200 zero. They have some small 4-5” gongs on the berm in the background at 125 yards and I had no problem popping those holding at the bottom of the plate.

Edit: I’m glad you mention it because I need to check the zero with the manual. I think for 14.5” it’s 50 yards and 16” it’s 100.

Ok guys, school me on building an AR10 lower? Same LPK as a AR-15? I bought a PSA gen 3 lower and plan on putting their 18" barreled upper.

The bolt catch isn’t a pin but a screw, but I think everything else is the same.

It's been documented here but a regular carbine buffer tube on an AR-10 doesn't work great. I have two AR-10s.

6.5 cm with A2 rifle length buffer tube and a Magpul PRS stock. It has always run perfectly.

.308 with a Vltor A5 buffer tube.
I had a regular buffer tube on this one and it never would cycle consistently until I put the Vltor on it.

You should also probably always run an H2 (really an H3) buffer or heavier in a 308 w/an A5/extended tube.

PSA had their LPK, buffer tube, buffer and spring in a complete package.

Now, some scope suggestions.

1-8 power LPVO

Also saw that Leupold has a 2-10x42 in the vx5 hd that I’d bet would be awesome on an ar10.

Starting a new 14.7 build. Just ordered the SLR B-15 builders kit with a 13.7 Helix hand guard. Thinking of going with a FN barrel with mid length gas system. 4 week wait in the SLR stuff so I have some time.

Are the barrels available? Last two I built (couple of years ago), I had a really hard time with barrels.

What flash suppressor are you going with? Or are you going the SBR route?

Rearden DPB pin and weld. It's a Plan B mount device. I have a plan B on my Omega's.

Someone here had an SLR build kit in the last year or two. Maybe Reds?

Would like to build one of those sometime, but have a couple of Radians that I love.

I like the old duckbilled flash suppressor on the early model AR15 / M16. Does anyone build them out standard issue anymore?

Yep it was me. Built a 16” 5.56 with the B56 kit, an 18” .308 with the B-30 kit, and a 7” 300blk with the B-15 kit.

Will post some pics this weekend when I get back in town.
