How far does he want to go? Is he capable and willing to replace the front sight and barrel nut?

I have free float hand guards on all mine except my 1st.

Question for those familliar with silencerco omega 9k.

I've got a direct thread mount to use with my .300blk however, I would like to have a flash hider on the end of the barrel for anytime that i might not have the suppressor on there. Is this an option or should i say the hell with it and just don't worry about having just the direct thread mount on the end of the barrel by itself.

I ask because I have a G17 setup to use the omega 9k also.

Other question with regards to the direct thread mount. How tight should that be on the barrel, i hear hand tight is good for the suppressor to the mount, but unsure on the mount to barrel connection. Also, crush washer or no?

I'll hang up and listen

i was 1st wondering if it was a .300blk and could have possibly been a Ghost.

But, I believe you are correct.
I have a Ghost in jail.but the check was only cashed a couple of weeks ago.

It's an option, but I just screw a birdcage flash hider back on there when I'm not using the suppressor. Only to protect the threads.

Hand tight is fine for direct thread. No crush washer.

That wouldn’t bother me a bit. Wife is on board so we may have a problem.

these pics show a little better what was done.

notice the larger collar that was fitted and flushed to the existing extension. also notice the relief cut in that collar, that allows for one of the retaining bolts to pass through and secure the barrel in place. you can see where the 2 retaining bolts go on the upper right above it.

after final chop and thread, this is how much was recessed in order to get the suppressor just off the rail.

mock up while waiting for NF 1-8 and mount to arrive

thank you for your time

How do you like the gallowtech wall? I've really wanted to get one, but it seems it would be hard to keep the guns safe from kids and intruders.

Hey Guys, what is the difference between the rails in these two gas blocks? Specifically how one has a channel running the length of it while the other has only the cross channels. Is there any purpose to the difference?

TIA

It looks like they just cutout some material to save weight.

I like it enough. it definitely allows me to make use of the limited amount of space the wife lets me have in the house (and my 2 safes are full) . I prefer gallowtech's rifle hanging options over the modwall, although the modwall looks a little "cleaner" and less industrial. but at the end of the day youd be happy with either (my brother has modwall and he's happy with it)

As for the kiddos, I put a biometric keypad on this door to keep everyone out. I also don't keep any firearms loaded.

Wow! That's a bad arse setup.

I know this all too well. I get half the garage and one closet. Have to make the best of it. Wish I could get a room like this.
