All depends on the person I guess. You see this in any activity. Lots of guys have money and spend on best gear possible but can't use it properly while some people do well with average gear because they practice a ton. Definitely not criticizing anyone here. If you can afford the best stuff, buy it. That said, someone like Frank Proctor will run a standard BCM rifle (definitely not a match oriented AR) and can still smoke the frick out of people in 2-gun matches.

This is pretty accurate. Like they say "it's the indian, not the arrow". I've seen guys running 6K pistols get smoked by a 60 year old with a glock 17.

Do yall have any experience with the SB PDW brace?
Eta: Nevermind.. It's 3/4 pound heavier than the SBA3

Well got a little excited about the build and have just about everything on order except for the BCG, handguard, and optic.
What's yalls favorite BCG? I have a lightweight Faxon on one of my builds that I really like and might go with that again.
Also need to decide on handguard length.. 7" barrel and I know I will be getting a SLR Helix just waiting for the next holiday for it to go on sale. They have 6.7" and 7" lengths but not sure if the 7" would work with a suppressor.

3gun is pretty much all MS and TX, so you have to make a trip if you want to play. I haven't done anything yet, this 3gun class and match in Hammond will be my first experience. I want to do USPSA as well
figured that if I spend all this money on nice guns, I need to put them to use

I haven't got to shoot my LW Faxon yet but im looking forward to it. Do you have an ADJ gas block already? If not id look at an adj gas BCG maybe.
Is the barrel a 7" with 1/2" being threads or is the 7" without? I would tend to think the 6.7" Mock up the barrel on the receiver tank put a tape to it.

Why not just pop for an SR-15?

I have one on a spare pistol lower. It's not bad for the price. I think the Maxim is better but it requires a proprietary buffer system and is more than double the cost.

I have a few different ones: Colt, Noveske, Daniel Defense, BCM. Can't go wrong with either.

Yep have the SLR sentry for my other shorty and the honey badger barrel comes with adj gas block.
The barrel hasn’t been delivered yet. I’m hoping I can use 6.7” and not have to drop down to 6”

Radian has some superior features and I wouldn't have to buy anymore knick knacks. I'd have to change a few things on the KAC

What mount for the Kahles? I'm liking the Scalarworks Leap scope.

thats exactly what im getting
ive switched pretty much everything to scalarworks, their shite is amazing

Nice. I haven't gotten hands on with one, but it looks sick and if it's anything like their red dot mounts, light as hell. I also ditched two Larue mounts on my T2 and MRO for Scalarworks. They're the new gold standard IMO.

That's what has been keeping me from jumping in to it. I don't have enough free time to take a whole weekend to travel to a match. I have to keep it local which is why I've only done USPSA and steel challenge.
Funny thing is the 3gun class you're taking is about a mile from my house. I wish they would start doing monthly matches.

Hey Carson - who is this handgun instructor named Jude?
Posted on 7/23/19 at 3:04 pm to VABCHTIGER
Jude Autin with Advantage Group. He doesn't teach as much anymore, think it's mostly Chris and Nate now, I believe.
He will be teaching the 3gun class in Sept
