That thing was the best option before the SBA3 or PDW type braces came out. Now it's a distant third at best.

Do they make good stocks?

Both do. The PDW brace has a shorter length of pull but still works well as a stock.

Let's just keep bringing this up for you.

That's not really that much unless you're doing a budget build. At that point, I'll still pay a little extra for a quality receiver. Aero Precision is my favorite for a cheaper build.

LMT standard model is on sale right now for $850 on Recoil Gun Works. This is a great deal from a tier 1 brand and also includes their awesome "chopped" carry handle rear site.

CDNN has the S&W M&P15 MOE middy on sale for $680. Even the guys on M4C.net love this model.

That entire rifle triggers the shite out of my OCD.
My 6920 is as plain as it gets. I swapped the barrel with a 6921 barrel + pinned A2X. Swapped the handguards for a KAC RAS. Otherwise, I still rock the carry handle (I do have an Aimpoint PRO though).
Brownell's sells retro clones at a decent price. They've got one coming out based on Eugene Stoner's very first prototype.

I have seen that rifle from Brownells watching the shot show coverage, I like that one too.

As for the pistol braces I like them. Don’t have to sbr at least not right away. Can buy and try and if all is well then sbr it. Kak used to be the go to but not any more. Ones these days are getting real nice.

Finally decided to jump full into the PCC division in USPSA. Giving up the scorpion for my new JP GMR-15. Big thanks to Interstate Guns for getting this one built and shipped within a week.

Okay, I've got a really dumb question to ask. Arms Unlimited sells Colt 6920 lowers that are already registered as SBRs. Could I buy one without doing all the NFA crap? I'm assuming the price is that high because it already includes a tax stamp.

It would be a Form 4, not a Form 1. So yes you still do the “NFA crap.”

ETA: minus having to have it engraved

They’re $500 because of the roll mark.

Need to see the wait times.

Form 4 is probably a year.

If the electronic form 1 is available thatd be way easier.

Unless you are a manufacturer you can't build a full auto.

ETA: You can own one but if a non manufacturer if would have to be made prior to the law passed in 1986.
