That's like truck nuts for an AR.

Yeah, it looks lame as hell. I don't really even like the look of most of the billet receivers, even the ones that are more subtle.

I get it...I don’t love them all but some are good to me. I don’t look at it as bad as truck nuts...more like some new rims

What I don’t like is a row of ar15s from 20 companies that look and operate identical. So I have some plain Jane Milspec ones but I have some that are not. I’ll build them up in different calibers and change it up some.

Now if you want truck nuts, just get you some (not)

Nothing wrong with that. Just not my taste.

I don't get why some dudes have such a problem with how others spend their money on firearms. Regardless of looks or cost, it's your firearm. If you like some ugly arse receiver, buy it.

That's obviously what you're doing. That's why you jumped in and immediately started whining about "wasted money" and other nonsense. You got your arse hurt because your $100 receiver is "just as good, damnit!" Good for you, dude. I'm glad you like your receiver.

*edit
I'll also point out that you were so raw over it that you followed me to another board to whine even more. Pathetic.

Deflect deflect! I asked you was was the added benefit and you said there wasn't one. That was the end until you came out spewing about people caring how people spend their money.

Time for you to grow up and stop thinking the world is out to get you. And get back to talking guns.

That isn't what I said. Stop making shite up.

I'll attempt to get this thread back on track with a couple pics of my newly acquired LMT MLR chassis. just like the MRP, by removing the 2 lower bolt forward of the receiver, the barrel assembly slides right out, taking all of about 1-2 minutes to change barrels/ calibers.

shown here with a 18" stainless in 5.56 that ive had laying around for years.

haven't shot with it yet but was surprised to find out it has tension adjustable cant and rotation. feels a lot more solid than pics let on. I don't think I would run it on any of my precision bolt guns but for this platform it should be more than fine.

continue to think you are more important than you are. no one gives a frick how you waste your money, but plenty of people will laugh at you.

You sure are spending a lot of time trying to convince me that you don't give a frick. You're spending even more time whining about how I "waste my money."

What are you really gaining from an expensive receiver?

Tolerance? Aesthetics?

I've built on PSA lowers, Colt lowers and Noveske lowers. The Noveske Gen 3 lower is perfectly in spec, installation of a LPK is a breeze. The fit and finish is light years better than with a PSA. Yeah the Noveske is about 3x more expensive, but if you want a quality build it's worth it without a doubt.

I know i waste money on a ton of things, but $250 stripped lowers isnt one of them.

It's fine to like your poverty pony Anderson (or whatever your budget brand of choice is), but it's laughable to try belittle someone for preferring a quality brand and product.

You were the same person talking shite about Form 1 lowers. Look, it's great that you like ARs, that's a good thing, but don't talk shite about other guys who like to do things bigger and better.

aren't all these lowers formed by the same company? anderson, psa, aero, spikes, s&w, colt, etc. are just milling them out i thought.

Nope. There are a few different companies who forge them. LMT, CMT, etc. So some companies might use the same company to do the forge, but they aren't the same receiver. The biggest thing is in what tolerances a particular company accepts. For example, Noveske and S&W are made in the same forge, but their requirements are much different. Their prices partially reflect that.
