LWRC six8 8.5” upper $995

These usually run $1600-$1800. This is a really good buy if you have the cash. These will work on a 5.56 mil spec lower. The 6.8 is a great PDW round.

Recently purchased a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport II. Took it out to the range today for the first time. Went through about 150 rounds of .223 Federal ammo. On about 10 rounds i would pull the trigger, hear a click and then nothing. Wound up ejecting the shell and saw it had a dented primer but didnt go off. Is this an issue I need to take up with the manufacturer or is this possibly something with the bullets? What says the OB?

What brand ammo were you using? Some brands have hard primers.

Sorry, just realized you already said it was federal. Have you tried any other brands? Federal is normally pretty solid stuff. Could be a bad batch of ammo.

Forgot to mention that I put the rounds with the dented primer back into the magazine and tried to fire them a second time. On the second time through they fired with no problem.

You sure the BCG was seated all the way forward?

Bolt carrier group

Did you clean it well after you bought it and then how did you lubricate it?

I didn't clean it or anything before bringing it to the range. Was that a mistake?

You should. Sometimes it doesn’t hurt and sometimes you’ll get what you experienced.

I’d take the BCG down and clean it real well also just to be safe.

I was going to ask this but wasn't sure if you could drop the firing pin if it wasn't completely in battery.

I bought the slr jig last year to dimple a melonited barrel. Bought a cobalt bit in the correct size. Couldn’t scratch it with a 20v hand drill. So frustrating. Ended up using a 8” drill press which I had to bear down on. All this being said, I don’t believe it’s worth the hype. I have 4 other guns that aren’t dimpled and never had a bit of problems with the gas block. For what it’s worth, I’m at the range plinking not fighting insurgents.

Finishing a pistol build in 300 Blk. Question on braces. How much more ergonomic and comfortable is the SBM4 than a Blade? Worth it?

Between those 2, I’d say sbm4 is slightly more comfortable. The sba3 is way more comfortable
