Purchased a complete AR10 lower from PSA that was on sale this weekend. Looking to start building the upper. I have read AR10's are a little harder to get things to fit from different companies. I figured I'll buy a PSA stripped upper and their upper parts kit. What do I need to do to make sure I get a barrel and hand guard that fit?

Figure out what pattern upper you are getting. Dpms high, low; armalite. Then just make sure everythitn matches to that

Strike Eagle 1-8x24 for $449 with $100 gift card to Midway...worth it? I don't have any familiarity with the scope, but have heard great things about the 1-6x24.

The strike eagle is a good scope. You can step up to the viper PST 1-4 for $400 with a PEPR mount. I ordered it the other day but it was $350 at that time. Brownells

I just looked at the Strike Eagle and Viper side by side. The PST Glass is definitely more clear...but I'm not going to be competitive shooting. I think the Strike Eagle is better suited for what I'll be using it for. And seems like a good little deal.

Just got an Arisaka Defense inline mount for my Surefire Scout. It's a slick piece, gets the light right in between the 1913 on the top and the MLOK at three o'clock.

For sure the strike eagle glass is worse if that is what you are considering. If you want a better 1-6, Trijicon Accupoint and Vortex Razor HD genii are good for the mid $1k area. The Kahles 1-6 and Swaro 1-6 are the best that you can get but they are pricey. If you want to spend less than $1k, the Viper Genii 1-6 just came out.

Anyone have any experience with the trijicon accupower? Looking to get the 1-4. I like my viper pst 1-4. It was my first 1-4 optic and I really like it. Want to put the accupower on another AR.

They are good in terms of durability and glass. Battery life is horrible though.
