I spent 20 minutes at lunch chasing my bullets around trying to sight in my scope. It was spraying all over the place. I just about cut out the 1" circle at 50 yards which was the distance I was sighting in at without ever putting a round in it. Then I realized I never tightened my scope base down Tightened it down three shots to walk it into the middle and the were were in the 1" circle at 50 yards. ~2moa with cheap Monarch ammo.

My 6.5" 22LR had every hole touching at 25 yards from a rest with an unmagnified reflex optic. Just wished it wasn't so picky on ammo. I'm wondering if the 6.5" barrel maybe doesn't give me enough back pressure making it ammo picky. 40gr 1300fps Winchester Super-X it runs like a top. 40gr golden bullets (1255fps), Winchester M2 (40gr 1255fps), Thunderbolt, White box Winchester, Federal, etc I keep getting FTE.

Just bought a Daniel Defense DDM4v11. Any suggestions on a good front grip that would fit the Keymod rail?

If you aren't looking for a vert grip, and just want some panels, I really dig honeycomb Rail Scales. VZ also recently jumped in the keymod grip panel game. Have yet to handle them but people seem to love their 1911 grips.

Any recommendations for a rail on a BCM middy?

You really need to narrow down the variables, there are so many options these days. Quad rail or not? If not, keymod or mlok? Personally I hate quad rails for their bulkiness and weight. BCM and SLR are 2 that I'm familiar with that I would recommend. Centurion is starting to offer their CMR in both keymod and mlok as well.

I've always had quad rails (former mil) on everything. MLOK is probably the direction I want to go.

My favorite rails are the BCM KMR, Geissele, and Seekins. The BCM is probably my favorite.

Midwest Industries or BCM. Huge fan of both, with MI producing some really lightweight stuff.

If you want MLOK I'd look at SLR, they probably have the largest variety as far as design options and lengths. Some of the best customer service in the biz as well.

Thanks gents.

What is the average install cost from a gunsmith on these? I live in a tiny 1 br apt in downtown Denver, hence no more workshop

Yeah they're pricey, but it seems most products machined from G10 tend to be. They're very slim, lightweight, and insulate from the heat of your barrel very well. Plus they feel great in your hands. The price point definitely makes them not for everybody, but I like mine a lot.

Probably too cheap for most that post to this thread but for $64 shipped I've been really happy with the Matrix foxtrot handguard from Chandler Hardwood. I love barrel nuts you don't have to index.

I'm still waiting on my Spitfire AR I ordered in February to come in. Super aggravating because I just wanted the old version Spitfire 1x, but they refused to sell it to me. So they told me end of April, early May ship. Well May has come and gone and Vortex still won't tell me when I'll have it. The guy I'm talking to Ryan Muckenhirn just keeps telling me the January orders are shipping with zero reference to when my order is expected. For all the praise I've heard about Vortex I'm highly disappointed. Good thing the Spitfire AR only cost $209 that's pretty much all they have going for them at the moment.

Put a new handguard on my 300 mainly for weight savings. I like it.

ETA: it an MI mlok carbine length.
