Check out the Seekins rails. I think they look the best if you wanna do the rail over can look.

SLR makes 7.5" handguards in a variety of models. They are my favorite, have them on both my rifles.

I'm fairly certain most, if not all, of their rails fall into the 'slim' category with an ID of 1.35 or smaller, which would not go over most cans.

I think y'alls differing opinions just confirmed that I should go ahead and do what I want. If there isn't any practical reason not to go over can, might as well just get what I like.

I went with the Seekins on my 8" 300 BLK. I just wanted a different look than the other rifles I had. I haven't noticed a shift in impact or the heat from the suppressor yet, but I don't run 100 rounds through the BLK at one time either. I just can't afford that.

All of the ones I can touch are pending form 4s. I have a couple pending form 3 right now. I think my Lipseys rep may have had to do some unsavory things to get one of them for me.

it's the finest AR-10 I've played with. Even better than the Wilson Combat we have. I'm going to get one, and I never thought I'd want an AR-10
