they had 4 different AR-15's:

Bushmaster at $729
Windham at $899
Sig $1100
Rueger $1600

The Sigs were sold out by the time my number was pulled.

This guy!!

But for that much, I am going to save a bit more and wait for a Jack or a Daniel Defense.

Worst part is that the lower is usually not compatible with other uppers.

What is the opinion on rock river AR's. I have the opportunity to purchase one for about $1300. Elite operator .223. Is that a good buy?

Absolutely not.

Twice the cost of one actually.

See burgemans post in the last page.

Everything is appearing, just in small quantities. Be patient, and you will be fine. If you want instant gratification, then you will spend a lot more money. But for now, splurge on magazines if nothing else, and be patient on parts.

Complete uppers are slowly becoming available as well. Keep an eye on Palmetta State and BCM, and AR-15. com. I bought a BCM stripped upper for $125 last week and already have it in my living room.

Yall check out the Equipment Exchange on m4carbine.net. It's one of my favorite AR sites on the internet, and I get a lot of parts from their EE section. Markups haven't been too bad

bullshite.

The elite comp on the Rock River website lists for 1500. I'm not sure if it is the same as the elite operator he asked about. Either way, it's not a crazy price if it is a similar rifle to the elite comp.

Rock Rivers are good rifles.

I paid about the same for mine way back before the hysteria.

About to pick up another for around the same price.

I like 'em.

When does Cablea's or any place in the Baton Rouge area get shipments of AR-15's, does any one know?

I think I'm going to get a FMK polymer lower receiver. I can get my hands on a complete one for around $200. A friend of mine had already agreed to put his old RRA upper with it and sell me his stock and buffer tube.

Not sure how I'll like the composite feel on a rifle but hell it's been on Glocks and lightweight subcompact handguns forever.

Anyone have any experience with polymer lowers?

I ordered some PMags from DSG on Thursday knowing that they would be backordered. My CC has a pending charge from them with Friday's date, but I havent received any email saying that my order has shipped.

Any one else seeing this? No way they are ready to ship now, but I would hate to think my cc is being charged now without a definite ship date.

I did not get charged for either of my orders from them until shipment, so I wouldnt worry about it.

Is this from personal experience or opinion? I've seen many reviews online that unless you abuse them they are as durable as aluminum. I was wondering more about feel than durability anyway - I don't plan to drive tent stakes with my AR.
