Bumping this one back up.
I was in Academy Sports in West Monroe today. They have moved all the 'scarce' ammo back in the gun and ammo section and most of it is back on the regular shelfs other than 9mm and 22LR.
Little or no 22LR to be found though.
TP in West Monroe had bricks(350 count) of 22LR for $22.00.

Yesterday my academy got 8 buckets of golden bullets 6 1000ct. Win. M-22 and around 10 Federal champion target 325ct. boxes
I missed the buckets by two people and snagged 1000 of the M-22

The one in lafy has a ton of ammo. Pretty much everything except 9mm and 22. No buying limits except those two calibers. I actually bought a couple hundred rounds 223 to go shoot in a couple of days!!

Weird. I wasn't able to find .38 in Walker or Hattiesburg, but most places had 9mm and Academy even had .22.
I haven't seen a shortage of .223 around Hattiesburg in a while.

only handgun ammo mine had on the shelf was .45acp defense rounds...
they and a few boxes of 9mm behind the counter though...

Academy Slidell had 525ct. golden bullets this a.m. and a bunch of 50 rd. boxes of .22 viper, along with some monarch 9mm...plenty of .38 defense rounds on the regular shelves

Cabelas appeared to have everything in stock except 9mm and .22 a couple of days ago...

I haven't seen much at my local WalMarts (Eunice, Ville Platte, Opelousas).
Sure, there's plenty of 12ga and centerfire hunting ammo.
No .22, 5.56, .308, or 7.62x39. And .357, 9mm, and even .45 ACP are still scarce. I haven't seen .22 LR in over six months at WalMart or Academy.
Glad I have stocked up over the years on calibers I routinely shoot, because this is ridiculous.

Bought all 4 boxes of .38 Blazer at Hattiesburg Academy last Saturday.
Hattiesburg Gander Mountain had everything in spades EXCEPT for .38.
I don't even try Wal-mart anymore.

no sir...the handgun section only had .38 defense loads...I'm going again tomorrow a.m....I'll let you know...if you want to pick up any larger boxes of .22 or 9mm be there by 7:00, and there is still no guarantee they will have any...

If anyone is in the Birmingham area and needs some .22, Simmons in Bessemer had some Remington Bucket o bullets 1400 rnd count for $79. Limit was one per day per customer, had about a dozen as of around 2 this afternoon.
