Get a break on the 6.5 x 300 if you want to go lite. My 257 is in a Mark V Ultralight and it’s my favorite.

375 ruger is another really really good option. IMO .375 ruger is the only true gamechanger to hit the market in a very long time. You can finally get 375 h&h versatility in a standard length action

Love my .25-06. 30+ yr old BDL and still my favorite rifle.

I have three. Two Diamonds on long range competition guns and the black on this hunting gun.
All break at two pounds, like glass. IMHO best trigger available for a bolt gun, by far.
