And you pushed it to the next page possibly ruining my chances by being an OT douchebag. You literally break everything that's good on the OB you touch.

Nice. I know mine wants a big frame with chicken wire to clip pictures on. Prob some damn pinterest idea. Might see if I can pull that off if I can find what she's talking about. She told me about it months ago
My wife makes these all the time. She makes jewelry and various other things and goes to festivals to sell them. Started making these frames with chicken wire a year or 2 ago and sells them as a place to hang jewelry.

For those that are building those frames. I have some live edge oak boards that are edged offs that would make great frames for what y'all are doing.
If any of y'all want some for free, let me know. I just burn them in my wood trash pile. Oh, the thickness can be from 3/4" or thicker.
I live in the New Roads area. Just put up a email address and I will pass my contact info to you.
I will get some pictures of what I am talking about later.

I'm going to bring a little softness into this thread. Don't laugh at me . Anyone making anything for their woman for valentines day? I think I just decided to go this route this year. Maybe a picture frame.
Awwwww. That is sweet. It would score big points with me. I like it.

I think I'm interested in this fish. Since v day is tomorrow, I won't be able to make one with that in time, but I'd still prob like to get my hands on some to make another one if you're just trashing it anyway. Post pics when ya get a chance!

When digging in the trash burn pile. Really didn't have much, but I will be sawing up some oak towards the end of the week and I will have a shite load. Just started feeling a bit better. Dam cold for two+ weeks.

I only have 2 or 3, I bought them for $10 each at a salvage shop.

Yall have built some neat stuff, I am not nearly as talented as some of you. The best thing I ever built for my tired old back was the rack over the bed of my Ranger with a winch for loading critters. When you basically hunt by yourself it sure does help.

Just received this beauty in the mail yesterday.

Yea, $15 for two, I thought that was a good deal considering where they came from.

I have a Lie-Nielsen #4 but it isn't brass. That thing there is fine.
I absolutely love working with my planes. I have a bunch. From 3s up to 8 and several block planes.
If you use them right, you don't even need to think about sanding.
My small Lie-Nielsen brass block plane is used on absolutely every project I work on.
How do you sharpen your's? I have some water stones but really have gotten to where I prefer wet-dry sand paper down to 2000. Put them on a granite block.

I only have the low angle jack and the number 4. Ive used the LA jack a few times to flatten some twisted boards. I'm getting the hang of it I guess. I really need a no 7. I use some norton water stones. They work OK I guess. I've been wanting to try this YouTube

you baws with the hand planers have my respect. That shite is for the birds.
I haven't built anything in about 6 months, and all of the sudden i've got 5 requests for Dining table, barn door, and bar stools for toddlers. going to be a busy month.

That is what I want to invent on a ATV or Ranger to help you drag out a deer or hog from the woods for one person

That's basically what I use but instead of glass I have a granite plate. I use the Lee valley jig as well.
With the 2000 it's a freaking mirror. I then lap it with a leather strop and whatever the stuff is you put on a strop.
I can testify that a chisel will easily cut to the bone with very little pressure using that system.
