Found this on my back porch in Baton Rouge. Hidden in a corner where my dogs couldn't get it, on the concrete, just one by itself, and no nest. Hard like a chicken egg.

I would think killdeer, but they are speckled. So I'm going with snake or seaturtle.

Looks to be the size of a Bantam chicken egg. Any neighbors with chickens?

It's probably from a stray chicken. All turtle eggs I have seen or round not oblong like that.

Asian neighbors have/had a rooster for sure but I haven't heard it in a couple days now that I think about it... I'm sure they have some hens, I just don't know about them.

That's a chicken or duck egg. Do you have dogs?

Way too big for a dove egg. I have a pair of doves that make a nest on my back porch for a few years now and their eggs are not much bigger than the end of my thumb.
