Beautiful bird, and amazing trip. Now the bad news. The way the bird hangs reminds me of a waterfowl mount but in a waterfowl mount you actually see the strap around the waterfowls leg. This looks like the bird is nailed to the wood. I thought the reason you mount something is to try an make it look life like, dead or alive. Like somebody said the box is cheesy IMO, especially with the way the light is attached. The memorabilia is cool, but the way it all falls together, hmmm. I think hanging by a strap, or flying with wings spread or even standing up would be a little, would be more interesting. Again, IMO. Never been a turkey hunter but that is one damn good looking bird.

If you look closely at the close ups you can see the leather strap attached to a foot behind the fan.

Thats an awesome bird, I like the shadow box, your addition of the trinkets will make a good story for your company that will be visiting. Very cool

I see it, barely. Just doesn't fit. Having it spread across a brick wall/wooden wall with a direct light on it in full flight would be serious. Or on top of a fireplace standing proudly would also work. Then work in the memorabilia along side. But, its his money, its just my two cents.

Good points, I just lengthened the strap a bit. The bird hangs a bit lower in the box but it gives you a better look at the strap, foot and spurs.

I think a nice touch would be to have to gun you shot it with leaning in the corner where the tall bottle is.

That would be nice; unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to bring guns into Mexico so you end up hunting with a locals gun. The beat up POS Remington I used would look good in there though...

Didnt think about that..get a cheap arse beat down pawn shop gun and stick it in there.

my dad went on a dove hunt in mexico and they brought there own guns. they said border patrol kept them for 5 hours. the tore apart the trucks and examined everything, including each indiviual shotgun shell.

Ditto.

That is one incredible mount to commemorate one incredible hunt.

Kudos my man!

Of course anything not killed with a bow doesn't count.. but we'll let you slide on it this one time.

Flying turkey mounts are cool, but I think to show off this bird's unique colors, this is a great pose.

You need a strip of wood at the top and across the front to hide the light fixture.

Other than that, looks great. It is one beautiful bird, and it sounds like the trip was pretty badass to boot.
