It's a cool display I guess. Especially if you have the right area. The box looks a little "cheap" or half assed and the light up top the same. That being said, the bird itself is one of the most unique mounts I've seen and is VERY cool. I also really like all the memorabilia. The hunt sounds awesome.

The rough planed lumber was by design. The figure in the wood doesnt really show in the pics, but it is outstanding.
I'm still not hard sold on the light either. I may try a series of small LED's. Its a work in progress...

The light needs to be done with IMO. The cord looks kinda corny and it takes the viewers eye away from the bird.

I feel the same way.
But, I was seated on the floor when I took the pics. The box is roughly 2 1/2 by 4 feet. The cable actually runs out the back of the box and if viewed while standing you cannot see the cable at all.
I'm still tinkering with it and I appreciate all the feedback.

Congrats! I would love to hunt for the grand slam one day and have all species mounted. That is if I had a big room in my house dedicated to all my hunting stuff.

I like it. The light is the only weak spot. Some LED under cabinet lights might work. You'll find something you like.

I think I would prefer the bird by itself. even in the same position. I think the bird looks awesome! Im not even a turkey hunter and it really makes me want to shoot one
