My Costas keep breaking. Should I switch to Banjios?

I have been wearing coasta sunglasses since 2000.
I hate to change the brand. It is a pain in the arse. Sending them off. I don't think they give you free pairs anymore. The arms keep breaking.
Should I switch to Banjio? I read some engineers from Costas left and started this brand.
Thanks

I’m in the same boat. Temples broke (my fault) but tried a repair claim anyway. They said it wasn’t covered, but gave me a 50% discount on my next pair. Tacked that on with the Black Friday deal and I have a $96 pair of 580G tuna alleys coming in Tuesday. When they quit giving me half off, I’ll swap to the bajios. I know a couple people that swapped and love them. Supposedly they have the same warranty like costa used to have, I haven’t looked into that yet.

Don't ever plan on going back. They're well made and customer service is first class.
Took me a while to find a pair that fit the way I wanted but once I did I've been very pleased.

I’m on cheap fintechs from here on out.
Can’t stand expensive glasses breaking, easy scratching or nose pieces falling off.
And then it’s an act of congress to even contact a lux brand.
I say this after costa was purchased. But it’s gone down hill since.

All I can contribute is that I have 2 pairs of Bajios and I like them. I’m pretty rough on them and both pairs are still holding up great after 2 years

I tried this route after bad support from Costa and tired of replacing them. I went through so many cheap ones with plastic lenses that I gave up. Bought a pair of Bajios this summer and they're great. Glass makes all the difference.

I’m going to do the same. Costa is complete dog shite nowadays, my current pair is less than a year old and all the rubber is peeling off.

I'll say upfront that I've never had Costas nor Banjinos. My wife had a pair of Maui Jim's that we tried to file a claim on and they pretty much told us to piss off. Will never buy another pair.
In contrast, I bought a pair of Smith's in late 2001 - yes, 23 years ago - that I still have and wear almost daily. Well sort of.... I broke the temple in 2008 - totally my fault - and Smith sent me a brand new pair under warranty even though I told them it was my fault. Years later, one of the integrated nose pads started to delaminate a little, not unusable but contacted them to ask what I could about it. They said "send them in, we'll take a look". A week later they contacted me saying "we don't make that model anymore BUT here's the newer (more expensive) version with improvements, let us know which frame color you want and we'll send them out at no cost"
For me, for active wear sunglasses... there is no other brand than Smith.
And it's not just their eyewear. I have a couple Smith MTB helmets. One of them the sub-frame that loops under your occipital lobe broke; it's a really thin spiderweb plastic piece. I contacted Smith saying totally my fault, can I buy just that part since it snaps into the main helmet? Nope, don't sell it BUT they sent me two replacments at no cost under warranty.
This is a great company and has the best customer service I've ever encountered anywhere - they have earned my business for life.

Love my Bajios. No issues after a year.

Thanks for all the responses. It is hard going anywhere without a good pair of sunglasses on. I've been wearing the 580g fathoms. Hopefully, Banjio has like comparable model. The blue lens for me is great for fishing in the Mississippi sound and inshore. And driving with tinted windows.

Go ahead and buy some Smiths and call it a day. Best glasses on the market.
I wouldve gone through 3 pairs of costas by now doing what ive done with my Smiths.

If you are in BR go by and see Mark at Superior Tackle. He moved to Bahio as soon as Costa started screwing over people. He has a big selection for you to try on. I have 3 pair spread around and love them.

Bajio, and probably. They're what Costa used to be before Costa got bought. I don't own a pair yet because my Costas are still fine, but when I need to replace them I'll avoid Luxotica.

I love my Bajio's, but the warranty isn't the "old costa" warranty.
I recently cracked a lens, and submitted a claim. $85 or a new pair for 50% off. I'm not mad at it, just wanted to let people know that it isn't the replacement that costa used to have. Great customer service though.
I like mine. Only had this pair for a few weeks but had the other pair for several months with no issues
