Mainly used for hunting/working. Polaris Rangers seems to be in the shop all the time. I’ve had great luck with Honda’s, but I’m hearing about issues with the Honda Pioneer 1000. I’ve heard good things about the Kawasaki Mule. There doesn’t appear to be a clear answer right now.

That’s like asking, “what’s your favorite truck?”

My Ranger has never been in the shop and it’s 7 yrs old or so.

I've had a Kawasaki mule and a Polaris 900. I like my Polaris more but the mule also had no issues. So far so good with the Polaris.

I have a Kawasaki Teryx NRA edition, it's almost 10yrs old, change oil every year, has been a solid UTV. Only issue, every few years need to change the water temp/fan switch sensor on the radiator. It's a pain in the butt to change, but that's been the only issue...

Had two Rangers in 6 years. Never any serious issues.

I have had a Polaris 900 crew. It’s been a great machine. From what I’ve seen of you constantly drove them in a lot of water they give you issues. If you use them where it’s dry most of the time they work great.

I have a Teryx as well. I have had to replace the fan once and the belt once in 10 years.

I have a 1 year old can am. It's been perfect so far. I read about all of them and I think it's more the user than the machine. If you take care of any of them I think they'll last a long time.

I have a friend that's had the same issue with the Polaris fan giving them problems. From what I could read about can am machines they'll last a long time with no problems and then 15 years in itll be a big problem. They are made by seadoo and they make amazing stuff. Eventually they just go out

kawasaki ftw. on the teryx the belt is a pain to change aswell. but that my opinion because my arctic cat is by far the easiest belt accessibility on the market. remove driver side rear wheel and your there

As stated here many times the Pioneer 1000 is possibly the biggest POS UTV every put on the market.

Look, I don't like the 1000, but that isn't really true.

It's just overly complicated and clunky.

And if you go slow in high you're going to butt frick 5he clutch and then ultimately the transmission too.

Guys who run them HARD are happy with them.

Poke around and you're inviting disaster.

Bought a Kawasaki Mule FTS Pro a year ago for hunting and farmwork. So far, zero complaints. I did a good bit of research before I bought it and there are a number of forums that pretty much say the Kawasaki is built like a tank. One guy from TD says their company used Ranger and Kawasaki for oil field work and the Kawasaki was by far the more durable, and he was the guy that did the repairs. Said the workers wouild run them nearly out of oil and they would still keep on going.

Kawasaki 4 wheelers are good machines, but we have some Mules at work and they are junk.
