Saltwater tackle box/bag - will1883 on 4/19/18 at 4:11 pm I usually make a few trips down to Grand Isle every year with a friend. Last year, I had to cut my tackle bag open with scissors because of what the saltwater did to the zippers. What does the OB use?... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Toyota baws: Sell me on a Tundra - will1883 on 4/19/18 at 6:52 am I bought a 2017 1794 4x4 about 7 months ago. I love it. For all those worried about fuel mileage..... determine how many miles you drive a year and calculate the extra cost. Then think about the times you had to go to the shop for your ford/gm for random stuff. $400, $600, $1200 a pop. There go yo... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |

Insurance for fishing camp question - will1883 on 2/16/18 at 7:35 am I was thinking of buying into a fishing camp in Grand Isle. The only problem is that the camp is not insured. Would there be a way for me to buy insurance for a portion of it?... Posted on Money Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (4) |
re: 300 Blackout for Hogs? - will1883 on 12/19/17 at 1:32 pm We’ve shot lots of hogs with the 300 Blackout. In our experience, the subsonic is not lethal enough to shoot hogs with. That being said, if you see a hog and you have a 300 Blackout in your hands with subsonics...have some fun! Suppressed and supersonic is the way to go though.... re: House plans - will1883 on 12/18/17 at 12:48 pm Thank you all for the suggestions. I've put a link to an image of the lot to give you an idea of the layout. Please let me know if that does not work. The approximate depth of the longer red line is 167'. The approximate length of the shorter red line is 70'. That's the usable area of the lot. ... re: House plans - will1883 on 12/17/17 at 8:08 pm Thanks for all the help and suggestions. The lot is in a very nice spacious and hilly subdivision. I just bought one of the last lots on a ridgetop, knowing it would be a challenging project. There are fairly steep wooded hills on each side of the ridge, with a lake at the bottom. I think it wou... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: House plans - will1883 on 12/17/17 at 9:31 am If I do a front loading garage, I could probably do a 45’ wide house. Right now I’m looking at a 2 car garage and a 2 car dettached garage.... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |

re: need to buy a truck by year end... - will1883 on 12/16/17 at 1:26 am I just got rid of my 2011 F150 5.0 because of the issues I was having: oil consumption, extremely hard shift between first and second gear at parking lot speeds (felt like someone was rear ending me), and a few electrical issues.
Went with a 2017 Tundra 1794 and couldn’t be happier. ... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |

re: Riflescope Help - will1883 on 11/11/17 at 4:06 pm I would meet in the middle and go with Swaro Z3. You’ll never need 18x for shooting a deer. ... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Broadhead Tuning. Did I mess up? *Update-Kinda - will1883 on 11/2/17 at 4:20 am Sounds like you just sighted in your broadheads, not necessarilly tuned it to your broadheads. If the broadheads and field points are hitting in the same spots, your bow is perfectly tuned. I look at paper tuning as more of a rough tuning of your bow and broadhead tuning as more of a fine tuning t... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Looking for advice for scope - will1883 on 10/3/17 at 10:11 pm I would go with the 3.5-10x40 over that one. It's cheaper, mounts lower to the gun, lighter, and more compact. You don't need the larger objective for light gathering or the extra magnification for deer hunting. Do a little research on it. ... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: New Truck Market - will1883 on 10/1/17 at 5:47 pm I was in the same boat a couple of weeks ago. Was leaning F150. The frills and gas mileage were tempting. Logged in to consumer reports at last minute and went with the tundra. The reliability ratings blew everything else out of the water. It was also their top recommended full-size truck. With my...
