Let’s throw in if you’ve ever used a rifle or shotgun to kill game if we are including a crossbow. Or anyone that uses. .444 marlin, .35 whelan or any other straight walled cartridge for primitive game weapons.
Honestly, why try and attack someone for using something you don’t “approve”.

I'd love to shoot my compound. I've been putting off shoulder replacement on both shoulders for a while now, so I've transitioned to a crossbow.

No doubt spot on. Rods and reels, guns, outboard and trolling motors all predated those other than crossbows. Fiberglass and aluminum also help those unable to get by in the out of doors do so. Tents, canvas, fire starting materials...all of it to aid beta males approach alpha status.
Bascially if you can't run down a wild animal and dispatch it with your bare hands, naked with no shoes, or gnaw a tree down and turn it into something resembling a boat so you can get further offshore where your free dive and catch fish by hand you are a pussy who ought to take up golf and leave hunting and fishing to the men folk.

I had an uncle who served as my "old man" (if you've read Patrick McManus you will get that reference, if you ain't read him you oughta). He begrudgingly used a 4 HP sears outboard to fish when I was a kid...very sparingly. He didn't even know it was possible to put a battery in a boat...all it would do for him was add ballast, something completely unwanted in his boat where freeboard was an illusion of faith most of the time. Most of the time he sculled from the transom and never used the outboard. Unless the plan was to return back up the Chattahoochee. Prior to the completion of West Point dam he would scull back up the river in a pine jon boat he built himself. I fished a bunch with him in that boat. When I was 18 I bought him a Minn Kota 10 pound thrust 12V transom mount trolling motor....it was still clamped to the 2x4 he clamped it to the day he got it the day of his funeral. He could scull a boat for hours and catch bream on a fly rod without ever lifting the oar from the water. He taught me to scull a boat...one handed, never lifting the oar from the water. Trolling motors and outboards are for pussies....

Crossbows predate guns by about 1500 years. If you use a gun instead of a cross bow you are about as big a pussy as someone who uses a crossbow instead of a long bow which predates cross bows by about 9000 years. Of course if you use a long bow you are a bigger pussy than someone who runs down game buck naked with no shoes and dispatches it bare handed.

I disagree about xbows. Its just the way of the world now. Why not make a cleaner more ethical shot? If you are using a modern compund with 80% let off does it really make you any better?
BUT lets add Cell Phone Cameras. or even just deer cameras all together to your list. No longer are the days where the best hunters get the best deer

I don't think that people using mojos, livescopes, or crossbows have ever made me kill or catch fewer animals or fish. Hell, I'm glad my dad bought a crossbow and hunts bow season with me.
