They are going to have some tough conditions

Not to mention 25,000 crappie boats to maneuver around!

These came out of D'Arbonne - It has some good fish but they are about a month early. Those guys will find them though, they always do.
Probably on the edge of deep water or feeder creeks leading to spawning areas.
BTW - my boat had been through a flood so save the comments ha ha

Better tie on that jerkbait for Caney

Bussey Brake seems like a strange spot for the Championship round. If they really wanted to watch them struggle they should put them on Claiborne for the final day... That sucker can fish tough.

plus black bayou and Bussey are similar and size and BB is closer to headquarters.

Caney Lake the better lake of the group, huh?
Wish they would have done the last two days at Caney from what I've been hearing, guys won with 31 lbs this past weekend.

Caney was built to be the Louisiana Lake Fork and was kicking arse for years, several double digit bass were caught, big tournament stringers 25-30 lbs etc etc . Seems like I remember on 14 + but I may be confused.
The state put grass carp in it and ruined the bass fishing but you would still have a better chance there than any of the others at catching big fish or a bunch of big ones.
I've fished all of these other than Busey and prefer D'Arbonne but that's just because I grew up fishing it

If something is worthwhile in this state they'll spend money to ruin it. They've spent $5m on False River since 2010 trying to bring back the grass they killed

These BPT events are available to stream from the MLF website. Pretty sure it doesn’t require a login to watch the live events.

The MLF shows on The Outdoor Channel are from a year ago or so, the only way to watch live is streaming from the MLF website.
I watch it all day while working during the tournaments, it's pretty entertaining if you are a bass fisherman
And it's FREE

Same here. I typically watch all of the events live for some period of time when I’m in the office. I’ll throw it on my 3rd monitor and listen/watch. It’s a good show and learn something from time to time.

MONROE-WEST MONROE, La. – Major League Fishing has announced that the first day of practice for the 80 anglers competing in the Bass Pro Tour B&W Trailer Hitches Stage One Presented by Power-Pole, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 3, has been canceled due to forecasted freezing rain and high winds.
“Initially, our anglers were slated for two days of practice on either Lake D’Arbonne or Caney Creek Reservoir,” said MLF Bass Pro Tour Tournament Director Aaron Beshears. “However, with the forecasted weather conditions, we have deemed it unsafe for our anglers to head out for the first day of practice on Thursday.
“We’re expecting some heavy rain on Wednesday night, and with the freezing temperatures forecast for Thursday, it is going to be extremely icy. For the safety of our anglers, we’ll delay the start of practice one day and we’ll get after it starting Friday.”
Anglers will be allowed to begin practice on either Lake D’Arbonne or Caney Creek Reservoir from 6:30 a.m. until 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4. The competition will begin as planned on Saturday, Feb. 5.
Feel like they prob could have practiced Thursday and today would have been the day to postpone.

Caney has always been a big bass lake. Back in the 90’s, it produced a ton of 10+ pounders. Seems like the state record was being broken every week up there for a while. During that time I caught one over 10 and another pushing 14. It’s not as hot as it used to be, but still has giants out there, and from the reports I get from friends, it is coming back strong. Supposedly grass has returned, and big bass are more common. It’s been years since I’ve fished there, but will be watching this weekend just to reminisce.
Darbonne was always the fun lake to fish. Deep creeks with lots of cypress and brush. It’s a flippers dream. I had better luck with numbers there, although double digit fish can be caught.
