I’m in Hermanville MS, just east of Port Gibson. Rut hasn’t started just yet. We’re probably a week to 10 days before it gets going good. Headed up Wednesday night and hunting till Christmas Day. Good luck to everyone!

I’ve had a huge shift in seeing deer day or night in Attala Co. Went from having some sparing activity on cams to very little sightings. Have a friend who hunted all last week in Pisgah; saw 5 deer. I’m sure the rut is in the way, but damn they seem to be on lock down right now.

Saw a nice buck today but no shot.

I had put out some tinks and he was going to opposite direction. Not interested at all.

A friend of mine shot a nice 8 pt. near Fayette that he said was hot on a doe first thing this morning.
Man I wish I could be out in the woods today .

Got a good one on camera sniffing a licking branch where there were scrapes below it. Neck swolt up; looking a little rough.... getting close!

Hunted in Natchez this weekend with very little activity. I hope it picks up by next weekend...I'm not hearing from anyone else of much going on.

A neighbor of mine shot at and missed what he said was an awesome buck 2 mornings ago near Fayette. Was hot on a doe running through some thick woods .
I’d say it’s on in our area south of Fayette .

Saw a few active scrapes this evening. The middle child did not cooperate so I didn’t get a chance to see if a deer would show.

I hunt near Centreville. We’ve killed 5 bucks since the 15. No big ones yet but they’ve all been chasing or looking.

In Centreville / have had more bucks on a camera posted near a scrape than I’ve seen in a while. Smaller 8pt feeding in plot mid morning last week / lots of deer sniffing around a licking branch above the scrape - things are picking up - smaller bucks chasing does / hoping to catch an older one slipping in next few days
