Lol, this is a ridiculous statement and not something a business should be saying off hand on a message board. It's not a good engine if it needs regular service from a dealer

Weakest link concept. As with any product (automobile, AG equipment, planes, etc.) that has factory certified technicians, if you keep it long enough you will require dealer service. With the advanced technology going into products nowadays, it’s inevitable. Everything breaks eventually. If it’s in your possession at that time and your technician lacks the experience to service said product in a timely manner, you will have a terrible expereince with _______ (insert brand of product). Many manufacturers have proprietary software that only a dealer and certified technician have access to. If you don’t have the software, you can’t read fault codes or get into diagnostics. Sorry, but that’s the way of the world now and I hate to burst your bubble.

Do you service Suzuki outboards?

We can perform regular maintenance and minor repairs, but we are not a dealer and cannot provide any warranty service for Suzuki.

I've been in all types of boats. If you have a 15-25mph wind and you splash a wave down wind in a bay boat your arse is getting wet. Idc what brand you're in.

4th quarter of 2016 through the 2nd quarter of 2017 I spent thousand$ chasing an issue on my Opti using multiple “certified” merc mechanics. Third service center was able to diagnose culprit, $29.00 part. Marine service imo has the lowest satisfaction level of any service sector, when you find good service stick with them because it’s rare.

This

People hate on shearwater because they “glam” their boats up some, which admitaddly they do. However we’ve had it 4 years and it’s performance is as good as any bay boat I’ve been in. I’ve been perfectly comfortable in 2-3s and fished as skinny as 1ft.

The only thing I’d get next would be bigger with twins. Never need another bay boat.

Must be a special model since their preformance specs don't have any that draft less than 11".
Your money so buy what makes you happy, if spending more for the same result is your deal go for it. The majority of the current bay boat brands will work for most folks.

I’m glad you’re happy with your boat, but come on man. If you’ve been in legit 2-3’s you were soaking arse wet and there’s no way you got that big bitch in 12” of water.

I've fished with the guy that David Wade is referring to, he runs them very hard. In doing so, you find out pretty quickly how well your boat is built.

Absolutely.

In a true 3’ sea, most people aren’t “perfectly comfortable” in a 30’ boat.

Can you have them come teach me how to run my 2400 Blazer Bay? In a 3' sea I am slowing down to around 18 mph.

Lot of Verados on the water with commercial fisherman. Very solid motors. No hesitation from that perspective.
