When they ask you to hand it to them to show them your license on LA Wallet. Or once it is in their hand they can just hold it up to your face. LA Wallet is convenient but I always bring the paper copies of my hunters license, duck stamp, wma/nwr access, boating license, and driver's license in case I were to have to show them.

They had a checkpoint set up today at Bayou Segnette. When I pulled up to them, all the guy said was “registration”. No emotion whatsoever. I understand taking your job seriously, but I thought they could have been more nice about it dealing with the public so much

Their new trick is to get on facebook groups such as Louisiana Whitetails etc etc, find deer kills and show up at your house to verify tagging.
They can run your name compared to the pictures to see if you tagged/called in your kill.
A friend of mine got an illegal tagging fine this way, it was a mistake on his part but the whole process seemed shaddy AF.

That's not their fault that there are too many laws! They are hired to enforce the laws, not create them.
The outdoors are safer and more enjoyable because of law enforcement.

Edit. All the bullshite rules take the fun out of it. I enjoy freedom, freedom from worry I’ve violated some bullshite entrapment -based law or tagging rule. The younger guys, this is all you know (tags, rules, reporting)This is how things work with gov, this is how gov will eventually remove all basic freedoms: incrementalism.
When you (hopefully) eventually get to this conclusion (above) it will be to late, another link in the chain gone.

Don’t get too invested in this show! LA LAW or whatever it’s called. At the end of the show , check out the credits that stroll quickly thru when they showing the fines. States that a lot of the actual events are not factual that they are recreations of actual events that has happened before! So dumb
