If money is no object, then I would own either a 28 Sea Hunter Floridian, or a 28 Freeman. Both boats only draft 17” and have a couple hundred gallons of fuel capacity. My neighbor just purchased a 26’ Sea Cat. Nice looking boat and very pricey.

24-26’ cat with a pair of 115-150 outboards. Shallow draft and will run offshore with the 30’ers

Very nice very nice
I fished a big sea hunter in the Atlantic a few years ago. Damn nice boat.
I'm gonna be "that" guy, I wouldn't be mad at all at a 31 contender with an ipilot.

Is sea fox the cheapo hull? I can never remember if it’s sea fox or sea hunter.

Ya’ll Louisiana people and the back deck fishing. Back deck fishing sucks for saltwater, I don’t get it. If you are in a 26 ft boat and got 2 guys fishing the front deck the back decks just getting drunk and dragin a skrimp for shits and grins.
So many boats in the 25-28 ft range now with incredible front decks and the back is a family/ offshore boat.

Fished on one. The most incredible boat I've ever been on.
Been digging the Young Gulfshore hulls..I could live with a 24 or 26

Grew up fishing before the days of massive trolling motors and bay boats. We anchored upwind of structure and fished out the back tight lining live bait or fishing artificial. Caught thousands of trout that way. Front deck sucks arse unless you have a trolling motor

Not sure. The sea hunter I fished on did not seem like a cheapo boat at all. It was well fitted and rode very heavy in a good way.

Sea Hunters are top tier
Sea Fox are a mass produced product that are perfectly fine but not high level.

Yeah they’re amazing boats, especially in an area like Venice. Can do pretty much anything in it and they’re top tier quality. Really want to get into a 34 Costa with quads for next boat.

I’m going Shallow Sport X3 or Dargel 25 Cat.
Anyone choosing a Blue Wave has never been on a really nice boat. The feel cheap and thin floored. Also, my best friend has a 26 Cravelle Bay with 300 Yam I have been on a million times. I wouldn’t choose that either.
25’ Whaler Guardian with twin 200 isn’t bad either. It can handle the bay just fine.

Those blue waves have shite for floor space in them.
That’s one of my bigger complaints about the Blue wave 28.
Limited floor space, the “non skid” they use on the deck, and it just seemed like more of a family boat with the sink in the back and other weird things that just didn’t make sense to me. I will say the bilge access and console was nice though, and the factory wiring actually wasn’t terrible. Otherwise just felt a little “cheap” for how much they cost.

Ran one with twin 300s a few months ago. It was nice but wasn’t that impressed with build quality and a few other things. Costa 264 blows it out the water.
You can literally buy 2 Blue Waves for the price of the Costa. The 264 is over $300k as shown in the pic in the thread.

I'm pretty sure my 24'rolled gunnel boat has twice the floor space of a blue wave 28
I feel like that about the majority of new production line boats. They are absurdly expensive and largely feel like a piece of tupperware.

I fish on a 235 tideline with 2 merc 200's. it is a great bay boat, but anything offshore, and I mean anything will get you wet. and you cant keep the front down. Its a waste of 140K in my opinion unless you keep it inshore. beautiful boat thats dam fast though.

Isn’t this a “dream boat” thread?
