This is always heartbreaking. Your words of comfort are right in your opening post. Blessed and long life, no suffering, got saved, married 71 years, kid(s) that loved him. Take care of yourself and your Mom. You have my prayers for comfort and peace.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 6 years ago after an illness. I knew it was coming but it still sucked. You'll get through it over time.

May you and your family find peace in reflecting on the long, fruitful life he lived. Cheers to your old man! And may whatever comes next be joyful.

Lost mine 27, almost 28 years ago, at age of 11. Lots of good memories to this day. Glad he died young, so i can remember him that way, but wish I got to see him get old so I had all of your memories. Will say a sincere prayer for you tonight.

Nothing can prepare you for the day you lose a parent.

I lost mine 8 days apart...toughest time of my life.

You'll make it through it though...

Your Father and family are in my prayers.

God Bless.

I lost my dad suddenly in August. I wish I had a closer relationship with him, but divorce and a spiteful mother hindered that. We had been working on it over the last 10 years though, but I have plenty of regrets about things we didn't get a chance to do.

Cherish the time you spent with him. God bless

Sorry to hear man. All you can do is remember the good times and lean on family. Life changes when you lose your dad.

Lost mine suddenly a little over a year ago. It is still awkward at moments not having him to talk to. Wish he could have spent more time with all his grandkids.
