It's hard. Losing my dad was much more difficult than I imagined. Cherish the stories you'll hear in the next couple of days, they'll be priceless in the future. God bless

Sounds like he was blessed enough to live a long life with many good times

Yes, he was blessed. He was 94 and Mama is 93.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I, unfortunately, have a true POS as a father and will not shed a tear the day he passes. I live my life to enrich my children's life as your father has yours.

Numbers 6:24-26 ‘24 The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’

Im sorry brother.

Sorry. 94 and 71 years of marriage is one hell of a life. I watched my grandmother just get tired of living before she died at 99. Currently seeing the same in my grandfather. As my own father is getting on up in years I've found myself wondering what it will be like without him and how I will handle it. Not well probably.

Sorry for your loss. Be thankful for the times you had together and that he was a Christian. Over 70 years together is a great testimony.

I just spent the evening with my dad watching my daughters play basketball. My dad is 80. Thankful for each moment I get to spend with my dad.

Gonna be a bumpy ride for a while....but you'll make it. Stay close to your mom. Be strong for her. Focus on helping her through...it will help you cope.

So sorry to hear that BFIV. Prayers for your mom, you and the rest of your family.

I lost my dad almost 4 years ago. Think about him ever single day. Terrified that I’m about to lose my brother as well.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 6 years ago after an illness. I knew it was coming but it still sucked. You'll get through it over time.
