Learned to drive in a old 80s Ford stepside. Straight 6, 3 on the column. Loved that old truck.

That Straight 6 was a really solid engine.

Got 21 mpg per the old Ford commercial on YouTube.

With zero vacuum leaks.

But that's why I want one.

I feel like more can be had with tinkering. And if not, I have any interesting old truck to remind me of my grandfather every time I hop behind the wheel.

That Ford inline 6 is bulletproof, i think someone may have made an aluminum head for it but I can't remember who.

The 300 was. The 240, not so much, but that was what my parents had to let me learn on. Green and tan 1968 F100, 240 I-6, 3 on the tree.

I miss that old truck.
