In the last 10 years I can't remember it being this bad.
Something is to blame, wish I knew what it was.
As like many other people I have my theories, but nothing concrete.

Dad went to the west end of Timbalier Sunday morning and said water was great. Said he saw 4 other boats, and by the time he left, one fish was pulled over the side that he saw.

He ran back to the west and managed 10 specks and a flounder. I would venture to guess most of any damage being done is gulf side out toward platforms.

Definitely looks to be a late start this year.

Fished all over Elmer's Island Monday, caught 4 18-20" specks and a 15.5" red. Nobody seemed to be catching with any consistency.

I took my dad for a quick trip To GI Sunday morning. We found lots of smaller trout. Went and tried the surf, caught a few reds and broke off on a big one, no trout out there. We had to head back to town early so we stopped around 9:30 with 10 keeper trout a sheephead and a few reds. Lots of boats down there this weekend.

No kidding, last year it was a shite show around the islands and pickets, had the wife so just decided to fish around Mechant instead of running to mardi gras or 58. Guess should have made the run.

Talked to some people that fished 58 and didnt do hot, only caught a few but were real nice.

After two skunk trips, finally got some fish into the yak. Found a great spot in Chauvin. Limit by noon on Saturday. Went back in the afternoon and caught another limit but released them. Was on the way to a quick limit on Sunday but released the two I had already because I didn't feel like cleaning them and headed in.

First fish brought into the yak.

Saturday's limit.

Nice 28" caught on Sunday morning.

Took my new skeeter out to grand isle for its maiden voyage. Fished 3 days, caught around 70 trout and a handful of redfish and sheep head. Tide was shite all weekend and it was hot as shite but had a great time

The marsh was chocolate milk! Found some nice clean water behind the island and thats where we caught everything.

Talked with some people fishing the beaches and they were catching trout and reds in the second trough off the beach using live shrimp.

Saw a couple of your KFC buddies representing out on the pier- I think the shirts may need a few more sponsors!

Anyone have insight on what kind of structure used to be there? Were there multiple camps? Shells? I could have sworn I saw a pile of shells sticking out of the water, but didn't get too close to it.

there was once an island but I have no idea what kind of operation was run on it. that big sunken structure appears to be some sort of ship wreck.

A quick gripe about said 20 boats....when there's that many folks I can understand how quickly people can get on top of one another, but get a load of what some jackass did:

We're fishing a pretty good ways away from the rest of the boats, guy picks up anchor, starts trolling and casting....trolls about 10' in front of where we're casting...guy hooks a fish, they throw out the anchor. WTF??
