Local gun store had a Glock 43X (slide cut for red dot) for $380. Yay or Nay?

Pretty sure it was used for that price.

I just saw someone that had a new Smith and Wesson Shield with a dot.

Trigger much better than a Glock and you can probably get it for around the same price. Just throwing it out there.

I bought one new from Battlehawk Armory for not much more than that a few months back. Of course you add in FFL transfer fees to the price.

But I’m going to be honest, I went into the purchase knowing that the trigger would likely suck, but I must’ve gotten an exception. The trigger in that gun is way better than the Shield and the XDS I own. And it shoots great.

I recommend getting the PSA micro dagger mags to increase capacity to 15+1. You don’t have to swap out the polymer mag release with those mags.

Was it the MOS or was it just the 43x with the slide cut by a third party?

I probably wouldn’t buy if it was not MOS. I’d be weary of aftermarket milling on a used gun, for tolerances sake and who actually did it. Could be legit but it’s a gamble.

I bought one new locally for 420. If you bring cash he doesn't charge tax.

Put some talon grips and with a new mag release and magazines from shield arms I can carry 10 rnds.

Needs the extra power spring for the magazine so it locks back reliably after last round.

Great grun. Shoots great. My daughter shoots it well. Kinda smaller for my hand but enough grip to shoot accurately from 18 yards. I can punch the same holes on paper.

Edit.. I read this as a glock 43.. that is what I purchased. Still great.

I'd buy a 43x and pick up the shield arms 15 round magazines for that model.

So is it a 43X MOS or a 43X that had the slide milled by some random gun store Bubba?
You can get a brand new S&W M&P Shield Plus Optics Ready version with night sights for around the same price.

You can get a brand new Shield or Canik or even a PSA Dagger with a bunch of mags for that price.

Check out CDNN Sports and Palmetto State Armory. Get on their Daily Deals mailing lists.

That is a superb cc pistol and a good price. I carry a 43 which is 7 shots only but the 43x wasn’t out when I got mine. Probably put 500 rounds through mine without a hitch.

My new Canik Mete MC9 is fantastic. Really nice to shoot considering it’s small size, bc of the smooth trigger.

I'd want to know who cut the slide. Big difference between factory, Larue or shade tree gunsmith.
