The locals in the area of MO that I hunt love us. They are always talking bad about people from Florida, though .

If you notice when you are down there,

there is a slight difference between the clientele in venice marina and cypress cove.

Sportfishers at cypress, shrimp boats and guides at venice.

need i say anymore

Also Ron, If you dont mind, what was the charter so i make sure to never hire them

It is terrible. I am constantly picking up litter while I am out fishing. anything from a rubber boot to beer cans to broken fishing rods.

People say plenty of bad things about me, some of it is true, but no one will ever look at the trash in my truck or boat and accuse me of littering.

I’m guessing it’s along the lines of what a lot of people on the OB will call them selves in about 5 1/2 months?

Its hard for me to fathom the lack of respect required to litter like people do.

Its like they are from a different planet. Hard to believe we both put our pants one leg at a time.

I think some of reason for littering is not wanting to be seen as a "greenieweenie treehugger" by putting the polarpop cup into a trashcan. By tossing it off the side of the boat they are telling the world "frick you, I go hard!".

Littering really grinds my gears but to play devils advocate I think the low IQ captains have a warped sense of littering because they’ve put out hundreds of artificial wrecks over the years that for all intents and purposes are just giant balls of littler. Old cars, toilets, concrete rubble, etc. they watch the feds sink airplanes and barges, in their mind it’s like “what the hell is a beer can going to hurt.”

My buddies and I went with a captain recently and he and his mate tossed every aluminum can overboard. It was pretty baffling. We will turn around and pick up a cigar minnow box if it blows overboard.

It's sad when you pass over small waterways in other states you don''t see the floating trash like you do here.

Just look at the amount of trash the keep tiger town beautiful people pick up on a weekly basis or when the community service people hit interstate every two weeks a full back of trash every 30-40 yards.

but the WORST is the section 8 apt dwellers whose dumpster over flow it two days - leave their complexes with trash bag on trunk first hard acceleration or sharp turn their it goes. and LEO ain't touching that because you know why.

KTTB has done more for the community in regards to litter clean up than the city of BR has ever done since its founding.

Another reason is that some folk are so stupid and moronic that they see people doing community service and think "cool. someone will pick it up"

It would be unwise to confront the classless fricks because they are displaying anti-social behavior by littering and ain't no telling what kind of shite they'd pull if confronted. With the internet as ubiquitous as it is though filming them surreptitiously and "doxing" them on a Facebook page or other social media source would probably put a stop to at least the casual litterbug. Those committed to the "art" wouldn't care but the slob who climbs out of his truck at the boat ramp dragging 3 weeks of fast food wrappers out with him and doesn't pick it up might think twice when friends and family mention he was outed on social media.....

I agree with you and I live here. It sickens me to see the trash that litters Louisiana on a daily basis. Both types of trash.

actually when we were in kansas at a landing and the trash cans were nearly empty but trash strewn all over the parking lot - a guy said - looks like the the looosiana folks are here now.

Seriously, why? Classless as f**k and uncivilized. Saw so many people doing it last weekend on the water. Is it that fricking hard to just throw it away somewhere on the boat????

I’m right there with you on this. It gets on my nerves so bad to see anyone littering in any form.

I don’t understand it at all.
