I have a few that are flying around my house. No more than half a dozen. They pretty much stay here though.

I'm starting to see quite a few around the house. I need to go ride by my field and see if there are any around there.

What you see now will prolly be gone by the time season opens. Then again they may just fill up the fields. I have learned not to get my hopes up until opening day.

But I WILL slaughter some doves this year.

I drive around the state a good bit. Started seeing birds showing up about 3 weeks ago, but no real concentrations on my travels...

I have never seen so many around here. They are everywhere. I cut some sorghum down the other day and they are tearing it up.

How are everyone's fields looking?

My dad planted a giant wheat field, let it mature, and are bushhogging strips every 10 days or so. Starting to see a good many

I am going ride to my dad's this afternoon. I went last week and the fields looked awesome. He had planted some brown top millet, japan millet, sorghum and some other seed I can't recall at the time. We were getting rain for like two weeks straight so didn't see many birds. I have been seeing quite a few on my way home from work.

You guys that have been seeing them, what part of the state are you?

How many of you use dove decoys when hunting doves? I've done it a few times, but didn't really notice a difference. My dad bought a couple of mojo doves last year and put them out, but not sure if they worked any better than having nothing out. We always kill around 50-80 on opening day and last year with decoys was no different.
