Not wrong here.

We have a L3940 and run a 6' Woods medium duty. Cut about the same acreage as you and its a pain the rear. When its really heavy we bog down. If its light work then the 7' would be fine, if its heavy I'd stick to the 6'

In retrospect wish we had just gotten an M60. Especially for discing.

Do you not like Kubota? I’ve owned 3 and never had a problem with any of them, except running one in a pond. Too many white cans that day.

Just wondering down the line when we go bigger, like 70-90’s hp if there’s any better bang for dollar. That’s all. I think kubota ain’t the cheapest

I have reservations on the brands that are sold at the same places they sell carports and portable buildings. LS may be a good tractor but I’d stick with a proven brand that will be around when you need parts or service. Several of those brands aren’t around anymore or have been rebadged .
A example is Long tractor spun off to Farmtrac several years ago. Farmtrac went under and became Montana. It keeps going.
Buy once and cry once. Get a reputable brand from a reputable dealer and go enjoy your tractor.

Tractor implements, like most things in life, is more than just a raw numbers game. Just because it can on paper doesn't mean you should, I would stay conservative and if you've got 45hp at the PTO to work with then a good 6 - 7ft unit will keep you moving and probably be more productive.

I have a Kubota Mx5100DT with the mechanical shuttle. It has 44 pto horsepower. My cutter is a Woods Brush Bull 720x. It’s a medium duty and does an awesome job. It’s very heavy and I leave the loader on so the front end doesn’t get light.
I’ve had it for 11 years and it’s been flawless. Change the oil in the gearbox, keep good blades on it , keep it out of the weather and it will last a lifetime.

If you around the BR area check out Terrys Tractors. He is a youth minister that sells used tractors to help out his youth group. Bought my L4600 Kubota from him. Good dude and has sold thousands of used tractors.

Same but it may be because I have a Case 75hp with a cab.

So just crank the ac and radio and get moving

Keep in mind it's usually not a good thing to have an implement sticking out past the rear tires
