Hell yeah that sounds like a plan! He needs to break in the ATN scope he bought and hasn’t used haha
I think I have more fun hog hunting than I ever did chasing deer.

I've always wanted to throw some wild pig meat on my smoker.

I also want to thank the redneck that castrated him and turned him loose Good kill. but explain this part please.

A hog destroys everything and they multiply like crazy

Dumb rednecks are the reason we have pigs. They like to catch them with dogs and move them into areas that don’t have pigs so they can catch them there too because they don’t own the land and don’t have to deal with them

These same neck tatted rednecks will sometimes catch a boar hog and cut the nuts off the boar, notch or cut the ears off completely that way if they see them again they know it is nutless (Boars tend to stink and when they aren’t producing testosterone (have no nuts) they will be better table fare). The pig continues to do pig things such as tearing up shite in the meantime

Most of the hog catching takes place at night when the meth and natural light is kicking in

Honestly had no idea this was a thing. That's what I love about this place.

Yep I shoot the Barnes 110gr Tac-tx black tips. Nasty little round inside 100 yds.

Same thing happens with cattle. What would’ve been a bull, becomes a steer.

Yeah, even this city boy gets that. But wild hogs? Never knew that was a thing.

My 300 rifle upper hates the Barnes. I’ve been shooting Hornady 300 110gr. Vmax which has been great.

Second one I kill at my place in the last three years that had its nuts cut and a notched ear. All I can figure is someone in my area is trapping them castrating the small ones and releasing them to grow.

That’s what people do with stray cats. Who the hell would do that with a hog?

It’s old school. It happens a lot in the south. He won’t breed but will fatten up for later.
