Man do I ever hope the short barreled rifle one sticks. I have been holding off due to the uncertainty, braces, etc.

I capitalized on the amnesty for my 11 pistols but I have some more I want but don't want to engrave, so I been holding off to see how things shake out. Cans will be backordered for months; you are going to wait anyway

Not a nationwide injunction, so still a long road ahead until we can buy suppressors like we buy scopes. But a great development for sure. Hopefully this will be the catalyst to get most of the NFA struck down.

How long do I have to wait to put a stock on my AK pistol? Asking for a friend, I lost half my guns in the divorce and the other half in the flood.

So if I'm in TX, can I throw a stock on my AR pistols or should I wait for the 7 day window to appeal has expired?

I wish this would stick, but sounds like the GOA found a small town Texas judge that would make this ruling to drive membership. Just a fundraising campaign and won’t be upheld by district court. Hope I’m wrong

I’m afraid you’re right. Every time we get a seemingly big win, we usually get an excitingly lose to go with it. I’ll take the win for now.

No, it’s bigger than that. If the tax stamp hadn’t already been reduced to zero you may have a point.
The reason this is a big deal is that the legal foundation the NFA was built and repeatedly upheld on (the tax stamp) has been removed. That gives new light to the basis of arguments made against the NFA. Arguments that are being upheld because of the way that a zero dollar tax stamp changes the equation.
It’s a slow process but the zero dollar tax stamp was the first domino that needed to fall and should eventually lead to the NFA being eliminated.
I wouldn’t make any plans until we learn whether or not fed gov is going to fight it. If they do, we are right back to square one but with a significant win on precedent. The ruling was so significant though, fed gov may just decide to go ahead and step out of the way. Let’s hope it’s the latter.

Something that’s unclear to me though is that they keep lumping suppressors in with sbr and sbs, saying it will be just like buying any other gun. The guy did it in that clip too.
Does that mean a suppressor will still have to go through an FFL? Seems like we are still treating it like something it is not if so.
