Sedge Hammer has a 30 day pre-harvest interval, so I hope you aren't planning on eating anything from your garden anytime soon.

I pulled two Better Boys last night. Made caprese with those, some basil from my herb planter, and a balsamic reduction I made a while ago. It was delicious and a great reminder why I grow my own veggies.

Cucumber beetle. Sap suckers that should be killed.

So something is eatting on my plants? I don't see any critters but it's worse every day. I have some garden safe fungicide 3 that claims to be a fungicide insecticide miticide. Not sure if the browning spots are fungus too.

It's probably neem oil. Which is good stuff btw. I spray my plants with it once a week along with liquid copper.

Definitely looks like either a fungal or bacterial problem.

Bacterial spot or blight on the tomato. Mancozeb or Chlorothalonil sprayed once a week for that. It'll protect the new growth.

Check under the leaf for aphids on your pepper plant. I had an outbreak a few weeks back. I don't like to use the recommended malathion for aphids just because of the class of chemical it is. Heavy soapy water with permethrin product will kill the ones present.

I have 1 tomato plant that the leaves have curled up and doesn't seem to be making anymore flowers.

Yes, you sure can.

Btw, neem will take care of those aphids too. I've been using it for a couple years. I was skeptical at first, but it has made a believer out of me. It does a great job at killing anything that tries to eat on the plant. The key is to make sure to keep up with weekly applications. Chemical pesticides work, but they may also kill beneficial insects.

ETA: Here's some good info on how neem oil works.

Looking to start a worm bucket to create some fertilizer using kitchen and garden scraps.

Anyone know where in the Baton Rouge area I could get the composting worms (Red Wigglers) locally?

Just start throwing a bunch of coffee grounds in the same place. The worms will come.
When I first moved to Florida, there was not one worm to be found in this sandy soil. I put in a sprinkler system and started making and spreading compost. After 14 years (and sooner than that), there is not a spot in my huge yard where you will not find worms if you dig. I am amazed. I even find them in my flowerpots.

Tackle-bait shop near by?

My nearest ACE hardware even had them for fishing.

Picked my first green beans yesterday afternoon. Got two plastic grocery bag fulls, and will likely get 2-3 today.

Saw my first squash vine borer moth on a squash plant yesterday. I immediately sprayed with Mustang Maxx, and will do so again in 7 days when the eggs will likely start hatching.
