Box Blind overlooking our main road, several travel paths.

Seeing several bucks on camera, but all youngsters. Hoping for a traveling big boy or fat doe.

37° slight wind that’s gonna be shifting all day
28 nosler

In my saddle, 1 stick high since I’m rifle hunting and it’s kind of thick in here. I bumped over a little from yesterday’s morning spot to be closer to where I saw deer moving. It was a tough decision between coming here, or moving over toward where my brother and buddy killed yesterday evening.
Wind isn’t really good for this spot, but if one gets a doe under his nose, it shouldn’t matter. Looking for a 140” or bigger.
Had a nice 8 on my camera last night about a quarter mile from here. I just think I have a better chance here, than by my camera.
Good luck! It’s a good morning.

Trigger finger itchy cause Momma wants deer roast. In a stand we call "bitch" because it's a bitch to get in it and to get a deer out of this area...but what a beautiful area overlooking a big stand of myrtle bushes. I can hear deer in the myrtles but no appearances yet. Good luck gents

Ground blind in a pine thicket next to the river.

Started back carnivore diet yesterday after slacking over the Christmas holiday, so the first mature deer that steps out is getting popped for ground meat.

Watched two young spikes feed for a while but nothing else so far. I bet between the two, they might’ve weighed 130lbs.

One of the joys of cell cameras is an immediate look at animals, on the spot weather, etc. The downside is having to watch a bunch of deer cavorting around at a different spot than where you’re sitting.

A momma and her yearlings, and another momma and twins that look like they just lost their spots. Too many days left in the season to break that up, there’s several big solo does and a cowhorn spike that need to go, so i relocated a blind where I’ve been seeing them on camera for the evening hunt.

Anyone have any success today?Conditions seemed perfect, but I have heard zero shots around us today.

Last sit with my rifle unless I get invited to hunt private land
Came to an area I hunted a good bit last season but has been getting hit hard all week. Mainly wanted to scout a little and have an easy walk out because I have to head back home after. Back to work for the weekend. Came across a set of big tracks heading straight toward the main tree I hunted last season. Let’s see if he’ll show for me.
I’m really not ready to put down my rifle. Makes me feel like the season is pretty much over with.

Ground blind on a plot in some thick stuff. My last chance to sit here with decent wind. Have 2 on camera I may shoot. I want to put my eyes on them. Sat down at 4:30 and here comes a younger 6. Of course from the one direction he shouldn’t have. A little lane to my right. He stuck around but smelled me and spooked. He didn’t make much racket so hopefully I’m ok.

Back in the same spot as this morning. Ended up seeing 3 does.

Did a little scout / walk to see if I could find a spot I’d like to saddle. Caught motion in the woods. Thought I bumped some deer. I stop and a doe comes running up, mouth agape. Small 7ish point 20 yards behind running and grunting. They pass at 15 yards and keep on going. Great sign
