This was one of those situations, for the first time in my adult life I ruined a pair of draws.

Was so close to, had made it all the way down to my thermals. 3 days of beer, whiskey and deer sausage and burgers diet dont mix well.

Throw your draws on the ground and see if the coons have a party.

On hunt 1 of 6 on an island in the old river near Ferriday.

300 wsm
Going after a 140" 9 pt that frequents this feeder.

After this I'm having up the gun and going bow only.

This has just been a sucky year for me. Damn loggers came in 3 weeks before season started and cut rows through a oak thicket (not sure why). and the only deer i would've shot i was too busy playing on the OB.

Now i've got my daughters first birthday party saturday which will mess up both the morning and evening hunt.

So please someone shoot something so i can live vicariously through you.

Ha. He wouldn't have been a cull. No deer tonight. Saw another young 8 20 mins before dark but that's it.

You must be hunting a different island than I am thinking.
