Dancing nanas!

My 6 YO just dropped a 6 pt with 410 buckshot. It's his first! I'm still shaking.

Both of my twins got one this year!

Got a nice buck down. Haven't recovered yet - waiting on a young blood dog to get a little training in. Pics later hopefully.

Congrats to that young man on a fine buck!

I've seen six deer in the last thirty minutes. At 2:03

Knew they'd be moving

At 2:06, a shot rang out on the adjacent property behind me. I'm sure the small buck I let walk to grow another year is now dead.

Know the feeling. Can still assume he is alive. Maybe they shot a doe

Shot a 7 point weighing 166 lbs yesterday in Woodville, first deer killed. Back in the stand this morning. Waiting as long as I can to open these windows!

A lot late, but I had a late night and been doing the family thang today. We got the young dog on the blood and this deer went about 50 yards. Dog bayed it perfectly. Young 7 pt., but I was on a meat hunt and passed a nice high racked six five minutes before I saw this one, and this was my fourth hunt without seeing a deer. Neighbors shoot brown, and I just couldn't stand it.

My cousin (owner of the blood dog) had killed this 8 pt and after we got mine out, the dog recovered it as well. We both had lung shot blood trails and confirmed kills, but backed out to let the dog get some work.

After the deer recovery, a hog retrieval was needed. My brother had killed 2 prime sows - biggest was over 250#, and we think it must have been barren, because she was as fat as a cut hog and no sign of ever having had pigs. The smaller sow (left) was about 150#, prego, but very fat as well.

It was a fun night because we usually all hunt on our own property and it was fun to get together with everyone and celebrate some success.
Good luck to all for the rest of the season.
