Birds were moving pretty good this morning, but I think tomorrow will be better with the cold weather moving in.

In my ground blind overlooking the road.
30-06

Rained all night so I slept in. Thought it would be gone my 10:30 or 11. Got to the ground blind and the bottom fell out. Wish I was at home but a buddy of mine wanted to come hunt for his first time this season. He CHOSE to hunt the uncovered ladder and when he did it wasn't raining, I bet he is regretting that crap now.

Oh well maybe they will move once the rain stops. Good luck fellas and stay safe.

Back at it. Moved my climber. Both hunts prior had deer come up directly behind me and wind me. Sitting until dark. Nutty butter about to get destroyed .

Asshats next to us running dogs which is fine...but just heard two shots really close. They been shooting all morning. The last two had to be on our property.

"Out of fudge paper".

deacon, socks ain't cheap anymore, use leaves, filter out the acorns, they get uncomfortable up in there, if sitting in climber or lock-on.

Ground Blind in stand of oaks. Carried in some grocery bags of corn. Trying to decide if I want to shoot a doe or not this afternoon.
Good luck guys

I've seen six deer in the last thirty minutes. At 2:03, I let a small 8 pt walk. At 2:06, a shot rang out on the adjacent property behind me. I'm sure the small buck I let walk to grow another year is now dead.

Pillow cases work great too. Hold more and quiet.

Perhaps it was a youngster and a first buck. That would be better than a greedy mofo

Most action I've had all day. 5 big turkeys going through my corn.

Eta: just scoped them. 3 of them have 6-8 inch beards.

Walked right up to the stand.
