It’s been super quiet this morning. Saw some on I-20 while I was driving but nothing since the sun came up.

I just had a a group of does cruise by but I’ve only heard one shot so far and with the amount of people in these woods right now, that’s kinda shocking

And my nephew just shot a nice buck as I was typing this

Just got home, public land cenla.

Went to a draw that I’ve always bumped deer out of, hoping to see the creek bottom as well but could only cover the draw.

Bumped a doe at the spot before shooting time. First light, a doe nearly ran me over. Then saw a huge coyote. Saw another doe, I stood next to the tree I was sitting next to for a rest when there was a tree between us and she vanished. Around 8:40 two does came in and again it looked like they somehow vanished but eventually they popped out and got the one in front. I’m always amazed how stealthy and camouflaged deer are. Doe also still had milk, seems late?

Drizzling rain but this Antler Shed Blind is keeping me dry.
60 degrees and calm.

We’ll see what happens.
