Sitting on the ground up against a fallen trees rootball. Winchester 3030. Trying to execute a nosy doe that keeps busting me.

Richland Parish

Sitting by myself this morning in a box in pasture watching a woodbine. Probably not the best spot, but had my only pig here last night. Hoping I can situate him.

37° slight north puff of air.

6,5 Creedmore

Area 2
35 deg hard frost
6.5 Grendel AR

Climbed into the stand at legal shooting time.

It’s still cold. How did our grandfathers hunt without Mr buddy’s? I’m soft and that’s ok.

Happy Thanksgiving OB. I'm smoking a turkey for lunch then planning to get after them this afternoon through Saturday. Its 39 degrees here. Feels like great hunting weather. This morning's sunrise was fantastic.

I was going to join in on your IST from the boat this morning, IBT. But winds are kicking here 10-20 so no go

Good luck out there.

My grandfather and his brother drank that stuff while leaning against cypress trees in Blind River swamp years ago when the greenheads visited. Good times.

Area 7 marsh
48 when I arrived
Ne wind at 12 or so
7 mag locked and loaded

First morning hunt of the year for our crew. Airboat broke down so no lanes. Plenty feed and high grass so seeing one is going to be tougher than in the past. Good luck gents

Tons of fresh birds arrived, quick limits yesterday. Getting decoys refitted for deepwater, heaters, stove etc in boat today. Should have a really good stretch of bird hunting starting Sunday when all the tanks and playa lakes around here freeze up.

One of our target bucks is at the feeder off our back porch right now. My wife would kill me if I start cleaning a deer before 18 people show up at our house this morning for Thanksgiving lunch.

Doe down. First deer this year. Didn’t run 15 yards. I’ll try to post photo soon after I load it. It’s cold!

Ignore my makeshift sling
